REALLY Nice Desk!

My wife got me this desk a couple of years ago, and it's been fantastic. I would have included a pic, but it's got so much stuff on it you can hardly see the desk anyway. The only thing I'd change is that the keyboard tray doesn't retract quite far enough under the desk when it's not in use, making it a little awkward to type on my laptops, but that's a very minor thing.

The boxes were a little beat up but the contents were fine.

A 4 out of 5 because...

The only thing keeping this from being a 5 is the pull out tray sliders aren't adjustable and the tray constantly hits my knees. The table is made for a big music keyboard, but I just needed a computer desk with a keypad. And you can't find replacements on here to swap out. But the table itself is very solid and sturdy. A huge upgrade from my much smaller, old computer table with a broken pull out tray after almost 20 yrs & 4 moves, held together by folded cardboard on the sides after it broke.

Avoid Acme Furniture

Trying to get replacement parts is frustrating and almost impossible. If you get this desk and something breaks you are out of luck. Very unhelpful and unfriendly customer service at Acme Furniture. They were rude.

fast shipping and great price. I have not opened the desk yet or put it together because it's a christmas gift. However I am familiar with the desk and its a good quality desk from what I have seen

This desk is by far the best thing I've bought from Overstock. It's very sturdy and has plenty of space for my keyboard, monitor and more. I LOVE it

SURPRISED

A Studio desk for a music producer like this one here would cost you 11-1500 EASY. With this desk I'm able to hold a 40in tv in the middle and both monitors sit securely on the other two shelves. The speakers I have are the yamaha HS8's (laying flat) so they're pretty hefty and I don't sweat them moving at all. The piano keyboard pull out holds my Komplete Kontrol A49 piano and its not tight either, however I wouldn't recommend anything bigger than that. Interface fits well without crowding and even with small decorations I still have plenty of room. Overall extremely satisfied with the purchase. Everything is heavy duty so don't worry about anything coming cheap because of the price. YOU WONT REGRET IT.

Assembling: I would definitely recommend having a friend help you assemble the deskSure, you could do it by yourself, but it would take a very long timeOne thing I’d like for the company to add to the instructions is which pool goes whereAfter my friend and I assembled all the pools and flipped the desk up to it’s proper possession, we realized that in order to assemble the next part, the 2 pools in the back have to have holes in themOnly 2 pools out of 4 had holes in them and the directions didn’t tell us thatNor did they tell us where the 2 pools with the holes had to goSo, my friend and I had to flip it back over and rearrange the poolsOverall the assemble was very simpleIt just took a while so again, have a friend help you Sturdiness: The Sturdiness is actually really goodNo complaints Money Worth: This desk is HUGE and BEAUTIFUL! It’s a very big desk, if you think you might not have enough space, really try to consider where you’re gonna put the deskIt’s perfect for all my equipment, feels heavy and sturdy and material is high qualityIn my opinion you are getting more than what you’re paying for, most studio desks are thousands of dollars, but this one offers an option to those with a regular home studio with not too much equipment

Ok, lets get this out of the wayThe desk is awesomeThere is plenty of room for nearly all my gear except the 88-key digital piano, which is better off on its own stand in another part of the studioIts sturdy, and the surface seems stain-resistant, which is perfect for messy musicians like myself Now heres the thingYou may have read about how the leg space is limited with the keyboard trayThis is trueThe height of the keyboard tray to the floor is 23Not much at allWhen I tried to use the desk, my knees kept hitting the traySo, I took it offLater on I got the idea to re-install the tray but this time being able to push it in instead of pull outProblem solved!Now I have space for my knees when I need it, and I can also use the MIDI controller when I pull it outIt has enough of a lip when pulled out all the way for me to be able to adjust the faders and knobs in the back of the unit without any trouble Also, make sure you have an electric screwdriver when putting this beast togetherIt will save you a lot of hassle

It showed up without a scratch. Very easy to put together. For something thats not real wood, its sturdy and heavy. For its price range, i dont think you can beat it. If seen far more expensive desks that offer far less.
