Brand new faucet has a leak
After having replacement faucet installed, we experienced a small, slow leak under the sink.
Absolutely the worste. They leak!
So expensive. And I thought for the price they would be nice because we needed low arc but they leaked water underneath. We ordered another thinking it was the valve and tried replacing the valve and also the hose and nope they still leaked! Totally faulty faucet plumbing. Had two get two completely different sinks after the sale of my home to fix this issue for the buyer and will have to return both of these faucets. What a nightmere.
Not sure if this is with all Kohler faucets these days but 1 of the parts is a Y -connecter. its a flimsy pc of plastic where the hoses are clicked in. However they keep leaking terribly. And its impossible to remove and repair. I called Kohler direct and they are sending me a new Y adapter and hoses but this is going on 2 weeks and my vanity underneath is getting ruined. what a mess. Had I known, i would have picked a Delta or Moen faucet. Instal and durability is stronger- so ive been told. Doesnt seem Kohler makes the same quality of products they once did. My previous one lasted 18 years.
Missing retaining rings, spacers
Missing retaining rings between the escutcheon and handle resulting in ring rattle whenever touched because of the 2mm gap. Reached out to Kohler and they said it'll take 120 days to provide a fix. 4 months is an unacceptable response time.
Beautiful more traditional faucet! As expected, Kohler quality
Perfect to match the rest of the forte stuff. Beautiful widespread faucet on the vanity. Much easier to clean than the center set small faucets. Biggest thing I noticed is this faucet seems to get hot water much faster than my old Moen faucet (no change to water heater or anything). Just great!!
I delayed replacing the 67 yr old Kohler bathroom sink...
I delayed replacing the 67 yr old Kohler bathroom sink faucet for 4 months despite a minor leak where the hard piped supply from the faucets met the spout. I ordered the new Kohler Forte and had hoped to avoid the work for another week, but the new faucet was delivered WITHIN 24 HOURS !! Three 4 hour days of effort later (most all due to removing the old faucet and prep for the new) the new Kohler was installed. Installation was simple. The new Kohler is PERFECT, but I doubt it will last the next 67 years.
Kohler came good
Kohler reached out after my negative review and I am satisfied with their customer service. They definitely stand by their products and customer service. Additionally, the technical aspect of this faucet is faultless. And once wiped down, the smudges do go away.
Awful water spots
The water marks left on this brushed nickel finish are AWFUL; the pigment is deep, everywhere, makes the hardware look years old (ours is 1 day old installed)! The same problem with the Toobi brushed nickel shower faucet trim I installed. I am angry, an expensive remodel has been let down by Kohler’s shoddy finish.
HORRID
This is an absolute disaster. The nickel finish is defective on the 2 that my plumber just installed. Also, the little trim rings on the hot and cold levers spin around and rattle...Replacements on the way, I don't have my hopes up. Question is, who is going to reimburse me for the labor on this??? We have a HUGE issue here.
No way to resolve problems with faucet
The 107272-4-BN-AB MFG date 10/16/2007 should be a nice faucet, but the installation manual is not available to guide its repair, and it seems that valve replacements are obsolete and unavailable so it is now basically junk. I need the cold water valve as the handle spins in both directions as the stop has stopped working, making it tricky to return to the off position. The design does make corrosion accumulate at the base because it is difficult to clean. Nice style but not a lifetime faucet as one would expect from kohler.
tool to repair faucets.
i need a tool to remove the hex nut on the bottom of the hot and cold faucets. the hex nuts are fairly thin and are difficult to remove. i can't find something at the home improvement stores that specifically address this issue. note that i have been tasked at replacing at least 6 sets of these hot and cold faucet valves after about 10 years of use. i am surprized that we cannot just replace a washer or and o-ring on a faucet that cost so much. i cannot recommend faucets that need to be completely replaced after only 10 years of use.
Poor design
It works fine but its design has a major flaw. The beveled base of the handles dont make it sit flush with the top of the counter/basin so it can be sealed with silicone/putty to prevent splashed water, soap, dust to accumulate under it. But with this design, there is enough of a recess there for all of them to collect and grow mold unless cleaned regularly. But the recess is narrow enough that a washcloth or sponge won’t easily reach to clean. So you need to get under there with a toothbrush to clean it regularly. An unwelcome and unnecessary chore just for that ridiculous design decision. Might look ok in a showroom but not for daily use.
faulty part
I put this faucet in about a year ago and discovered water in the cabinet below the sink. On inspection I discovered a defective part is causing the leak. One of the brass fittings has a small split that I failed to notice when I installed it. It didn't leak at first but has failed in the last month or so. I discovered moldy towels and mold growth in the vanity. Now I have to deal with a mess.
We replaced 30 yo faucets in both bathrooms. We had already replaced an old faucet in out half bath with a kohler forte.
No Water Supply Lines
Disappointed. Good look but not that easy to install and drain stopper mechanism needs better design, if stopper is up where water drains freely it wobbles. To stop wobble it must be down very close to bottom of drain. I specifically asked the question if it included everything needed to install and if not what is needed, Kohler responded that it included everything. It DOES NOT INCLUDE WATER SUPPLY LINES which must be purchased separately. This caused a delay in installation! Too pricey for the problems.

Faucet and handles are good looking, good quality and was easy to install. The drain plug, although very functional, does not appear to be as high quality as it is quite light. It does work just fine but wondering long term how it will hold up. Could be great, just don't know yet. But the faucet has drawn good comments for its looks.

Brilliant design, quality materials, and impressive craftsmanship. This is our second two sets of these faucets we have purchased. I installed two of these in our master bath more than 10 years ago. We needed to update the faucets in our guest bath so I searched for the same make an model we installed in our master bath. Easy to install and durable. The set I installed more than ten years ago still operate with no repairs needed.
Easy to keep clean, works well
We wanted a faucet that looked good, performed well, would last a long time, easy to get parts for, easy to keep clean, and from a Made in the USA manufacturer. This faucet scores well in every category!
Very nice faucet set
I had my plumber install two sets of this faucet in the master bath double-vanity because the vanity plumbing needed to be replaced as well. They look good, feel nice in the hand, and overall give an impression of quality. When you turn the handles to the "off" position they have a nice amount of give, as opposed to tightening to a stop. I have not had the noise issues other reviews mentioned for this product. The old faucets were quite old and installed somewhat bizarrely. It's nice to have some good water pressure for once!
