it is the perfect touch for above our kitchen island. We chose to put less wattage bulbs in for more of a decorative purpose. It is nice though that you have the option to put a 100 watt bulb in if you need the extra lighting.

Great lights!
I purchased 3 of these to use over a island in our kitchen. We don't have really high ceilings so the assortment of rods to adjust the hanging length came in very handy. I had them professionally installed and the installer did say they seemed quite fragile, but I believe the simplicity of the design creates a nice clean and somewhat industrial look for a space!
Cool idea, disappointing reality
I love the idea of this fixture, but it's poorly made and impractical. The pieces do not fit together as well as they should and as a result it's difficult, if not impossible, to get the finished fixture to hang straight down from the ceiling. The fact that the "shade' is clear glass means that the light emitted from the fixture is harsh and almost blinding.
