It looks nice, it’s just as complicated as you make it. There is straightforward instructions and if you follow them, you can make the use of this thermostat simple for every day use.

Emerson 80 Series Programmable Thermostat 1F85U-22PR is Tops

The Emerson 80 Series Programmable Thermostat 1F85U-22PR does exactly what I need it to do. It has 4 daily program routines, and 5-1-1 or 7-day program capability. It also does NOT have a WiFi module, for which I have no need or desire to be constantly fixing dropped WiFi connections and doing the periodic firmware updates due to security issues. Once programmed, you are good to go - as they say, "set it and forget it". I like the extended "Hold Temperature" capability for vacation coverage. I bought two units to replace failing 10-year old professional models.

The best upgrade!

Went to the site to finally replace my 30+ years old thermostat. Found that the same replacement was so out of date and not manufacturered any more😵‍💫. The site recommended another version...that was out of date to and recommended a final version. What was great was that what ever brand and version you have, this site tracks ALL of the upgrades! Installed it and it is such a relief NOT to have to fiddle with it👌👌

Thermostat works well

I was able to figure out how to hook up the unit. This unit is made for a lot of different applications.

Great thermostat

Replaced a 10 year-old thermostat from the same company. This one has a better display that is much easier to see and control. Will probably replace our second floor thermostat with the same model soon.
