Beware that you have to build these
Expected some assembly with ordering online. Was shocked to find we had to basically build them!!!! Luckily this was not an issue. But I feel that should be clearer in the description. Marking the pieces also would add clarity and ease. Was not crazy about the quality of would or the screws provided.
The edges were all frayed. We got splinters when we removed the plastic wrap.
Athena chair
Shipped fast and as advertised. Packaged very good and compact. Instructions were good and assembled in 45 minutes. In my case applied paint and that took two coats and covered well. Only thing I can say needs attention would be better instruction on lining up back pieces. Maybe some witness marks on upper and lower back braces.
Sent me a children’s size for this model
SSIA, ordered two for the in-laws and went to put them together Christmas morning and they are for kids. Website is incorrect Or someone one at the warehouse picked wrong item when shipped.
The chair is just OK.
The chair is just OK. It is poorly designed and it lacks proper instructions. You are left to guess at the locations of some of the parts. you need to pre-drill the screw holes are you risk splitting the boards when driving in the screws. The holes in the slats don't line up real good and you may have some mis-alignment at the top or bottom on the slats if your not very careful. Once you struggle through the assembly the chair is stable and comfortable. This is the only reason I give it 2 stars. Difficulty in assembly and poor design knocks this item down on the star gauge.
