looks good performs poorly

Beautiful looking faucet and took about 6 months to get it off backorder. Flow rate is mediocre as others have mentioned and usability is difficult in terms of reaching areas of the sink. The worst part is because the hose is so stiff if its not attached to the holder the water will flow out of the sink and onto the countertop so you cant let water fill anything up unless it is directly under where it stands in the holder. the temporary 150 faucet i had waiting for this to come off back order functioned 10x better.

Stunning faucet! Ordered this faucet in black stainless and it is a show stopper and conversation piece! Matches black stainless appliances well. It is also very durable and well-made with no noticeable scratching despite heavy use. I love the flexible aspect of the faucet for the purposes of hand washing dishes. Wayfair is the best with fast shipping and top-notch customer service.. Highly recommend!

Stunning

This is a beautiful faucet. It's taller than average and heavy. I ordered the blue hose but returned it because it was not as dark blue as it looks in the pictures. Also, the blue would have been too distracting in my new kitchen. If you want a striking faucet that is the center of attention, this is the one. If not, stick to the black hose instead of one of the colored hoses or choose a smaller faucet.

We love our new Grohe kitchen faucet!

The Grohe Essence kitchen fixture is a great addition to our new kitchen. The flow rate and flexibility of the pull-out sprayer work well with our single bowl sink. The matte black finish provides contrast with the other kitchen finishes.

AWESOME FAUCET

Nice Faucets but ZERO support from Grohe

Nice looking faucet with interchangeable hoses but not well constructed. One of the two faucets started to leak, and the spray handle was not functioning properly. What should have been a simple exchange teaches you the Grohe does not stand behind their product

Disappointed with features

The switch to change flows (spray or regular flow) is awkward and hard to reach behind the head of the faucet. The black rubber does not seem hardy and the spray handle is not flexible to reach the corners of a deep sink. I prefer the retractable spray handle.

Beautiful, but it has issues that affect usability

The faucet is beautiful, fairly easy to install. Within a few months, the handle started leaking. Unfortunately we had houseguests who had just arrived so we spent their first day visiting us fixing the faucet so we could cook for them. We watched youtube videos and with their help, managed to fix it. Now the end of the faucet is completely popping off. Almost every time we use it. It's literally just popping off when the water is running. Then my husband mentioned the handle is starting to leak AGAIN. Others have noted that the reach isn't very flexible but we've been able to adjust. Giving it 2 stars because it IS beautiful. Had it less than a year..

Leak at the stem

We purchased this faucet 3 years ago and after 6 months it separated at the stem and started leaking below counter. We tighten it. Happened again just 3 months later. We tightened it and then it happened again. Called Grohe to replace. They did it without any issues but the new faucet started separating at the stem again!! We love the faucet and simply don’t understand why is this happening. Anyone experiencing same issue??

Showpiece of the kitchen!

Ordered in Polished Nickel and it is stunning. I agree with others that 1) the polished nickel has a golden cast which, to me, is gorgeous, and 2) wish that the neck was a bit more flexible. But overall, this is one of my best purchases in our kitchen remodel. Terrific sprayer, very steady and full stream, and silent in use. It was the perfect size for our 32" workstation sink. So happy to have found this style - nothing compares.

Gorgeous faucet kitchen statement piece

I ordered 2 of these for my kitchen remodel in chrome to replace 2 19 year old Grohe faucets which were working but dated. Delivery was efficient and as promised. The faucets were well packaged and beautiful even in the box. They were easily installed. The black hose has good reach into my double sinks. The magnet for the hose works well to affix the hose to the bar. The water pressure is good on both hot and cold. The design is is eye catching and the quality excellent.

Stylish and all but first one started leaking within 2 weeks of use!

Definitely very stylish and functional. Unfortunately, the first one leaked at the point where the main stem starts to taper off towards the top just above the handle. The leak started within 2 weeks after installation and use!

Very happy overall - one small gripe

I installed this faucet a month ago and have been quite pleased overall. It was an instant upgrade to the kitchen and was worth the price.

It’s gorgeous and works great

I’ve looked at this faucet for over a year but waited til someone else reviewed it since it was expensive. In the meantime I looked at hundreds of faucets and reading thousands of reviews on other faucets, but I couldn’t find anything that made my heart flutter as this one did— I wanted something stunning for our modern house, so I ordered it after Thanksgiving. I was replacing a 12 year old pull down faucet that had started sagging out of the end and it just wouldn’t push all the way up. I went back and forth on the color and decided the chrome looked more exciting and the stainless steel a bit dull looking and I’m glad I chose chrome; even though it’s chrome it stays clean without water spotting. The spray is super powerful! I thought our water pressure must have been poor based on how weak my old fauce was, but this new one has a great stream and a great spray, and unlike a lot of faucets, you don’t have to turn the water off to go from spray to stream. Once you turn off the sprayer, when you come back later the faucet reverts to stream, which is practical and makes good sense. I don’t turn on the faucet without getting a little thrill each time I use it, I’m so delighted with it. I’m going to buy a second one for my prep sink because my old prep sink faucet also has a droopy nozzle. The new faucet is very heavy and feels solid; my handiman Carl installed it quickly and he was very impressed with the quality. It looks very high end, sleek and glamorous, like an expensive pair of high heels. It’s modern without being weird or too “out there”. Our kitchen is the hub of our house and ever since I’ve gotten it, anyone who has visited notices it and compliments it. When my husband came home and used it, it met his very practical criteria of easy to work and easy to maneuver; he liked the fact the spout can undock and spray a large area and it reattached easily and solidly (no droopy drawers with a magnetic docking arm that has a nice firm magnet). I like the black hose with our black sink but you can actually order all sorts of colored hoses and change them out. I also like the fact there’s no outer coil that so many commercial look faucets have since I didn’t want to clean those coils. I am 100% thrilled with this faucet and with Build.com.
