cheap plastic connectors

For $200 this needs to have brass fittings for hoses. Been down this path before. A plastic fitting secured to a hose progressively leaks until it becomes unusuable. Looks nice but metal needs to be in the places it matters and not just some thin aluminum on the frame.

For me, this did not work out well, partially because of my particular setup. I'm using a "healthy" 7/16 polyurethane hose. Because the hose has a strain-relief collar, and it's stiffer than other hoses, it kinks shut when winding up. If the output connector was not so close to the spool's axle, this would not happen (or if it was adjustable). The reel also automatically unwinds itself, as the hose is more "springy" than a soft rubber hose; this makes it hard to wind up, and you have to place the wand carefully to keep it from unspooling.

Awesome Awesome Awesome.. When we took it out of the box I thought, "Oh No... This looks complicated to assemble. There goes all afternoon." But really it was super simple. 15 minutes up and running. Quality materials. Sturdy and rust proof. We had been stumbling around over the 100 foot hose ... a tangled mess. But it wound up on the cart without any big effort and now we can go anywhere with ease. Don't know how we lived without this all this time.

[Rewarded Review] Super Sturdy Hose Reel with Attached Basket for carrying tools, plants, extra hose attachments.

We replaced a worn out hose reel box with this super sturdy, nice-looking Liberty Hose Reel. Took about 30 minutes to assemble and looks great. Instructions were easy to follow and this was super easy to assemble due to detailed instruction. I especially LOVE the little tray at the top to carry garden items or extra hose attachments. Came with the hose to attach to our outside faucet. GREAT QUALITY!

OMG so Easy to Put together.

This thing was so easy to put together i wondered if I missed something. Once i set it up with my hose and everything it was just so easy and lightweight. It was easy to wind up and doesn't take much space up. I was even able to chase the kids down with this and spray them (i made them wind it up after though ). I would totally recommend this and I may get my mother in law one as she likes to garden and i think she would like not having to stoop all the time to get the hose off the ground.

This is a really sturdy hose cart, I can drag it out to the driveway or over grass and walkways with no problem. The tool tray basket is an awesome idea, so I can keep pruning shears and garden tools handy, or car wash product bottles, etc.

[Rewarded Review] Longer assembly time than anticipated

This is a convenient tool to have for your hose organization and needs. It took me 30 minutes to assemble it and I consider myself very handy. There were a few parts of the instructions that weren’t clear, but I persevered. I had no water leaks during the initial test. Spooling the hose was easy. I would have concerns about leaving this out year round in colder climates as the plastic feels a bit thin.

[Rewarded Review] Pricey, but nice

This is probably the nicest hose reel I've ever used. It’s built solidly out of aluminum and appears built well enough to last for quite a few years. I like the fact there are plates to put your feet on while you retract the hose, so many others don't have this and the reels tend to walk all over the place. I was able to put 125 ft of hose on this without any problem. I appreciate the fact that the leader hose that connects the reel to the house has two female ends that both pivot, so many other ones have a male and a female and you're trying to struggle to get the hose attached securely

[Rewarded Review] Easy to use and sturdy hose real

I have other hose reels that after a couple of years fell apart. The were primarily made from all plastic. I was looking for a replacement the was more sturdy. The Explorer seems to be a very good replacement. Mostly made from aluminum and seems very sturdy and will not be affected by sun or rain. This unit did come unassembled which was fine. The do provide an allen wrench but you will need to provide a phillips screw driver, the one they provide just does not work. Once you get it together and install the hose you will find that the unit is very sturdy and easy to use.

[Rewarded Review] Perfect hose cart for our front gardens and

The Liberty Garden Explorer hose cart reel was simple to put together. However, the instructions lack words and one must pay close attention to the details in the images for each step. This wasn’t difficult to follow just time consuming without much for written instructions. There is an instructional video on the website if that would make it easier to follow along It took roughly The reel is easy to use and like that it has an attached caddy for all our hose attachments.

Love this portable hose reel. It is very well made and the hose wraps around it with great ease. It's perfect for storing the hose, which is way better than it laying on the ground in a twisted mess. Definitely recommend this product

[Rewarded Review] Very nice looking if you don’t wish to hide it!!

I really like it seems to be very stable very simple to put together! One thing I dislike is the wind up crank it’s when installed it hits the side of the frame when you wind the hose! It could be just the one I received it looks as if it’s a bend in the handle where it causes it to hit the frame, otherwise it’s very nice! I put a 100ft of Kink free hose on it and probably have room for at least 200 plus ft ! This is the kind of hose that shrinks when drained!! Other than the crank it winds up easy! My wife suggest we purchase another one so yes I would definitely recommend it!

The size of this and ease of moving around with a very long hose to do every day yardwork and even watering my mounting plants and flowers I find to be such a huge help. Seems sturdy and ready to withstand the work I do with it.

This hose real is stable and sturdy, and made of quality material. The large wheels make it easy to push this hose reel through the grass or stone, yet when sitting on the ground it doesn't roll away because the base(feet) is strong. The basket is a great feature to hold nozzles, gloves or gardening tools. I highly recommend this hose reel. The quality is much better than what I was expecting from the picture online.

[Rewarded Review] Sturdy and convenient but needs a guid.

Sturdy, and the portability is a nice feature, but needs a guide for rolling the hose back and forth across the drum. Because it is light weight you have to manually guide the hose as you turn the crank, but you need your other hand to hold the frame down while you crank it so manually guiding the hose is difficult.

The Liberty Garden hose reel is a great choice if you if you want to do cleaning and watering projects. The instructions to assemble it are very clear making it very easy to put together. It is very sturdy and easy to roll anywhere around the yard.

This garden hose cart is a beast. It was quite a bit too put together but all screwed were good quality with locktite so they want come loose. It says it can hold 250 feet of hose but I haven't purchased a house yet. It has for holds to help wind it up and the handle is metal. Overall this is a really nice house cart.

This is a well-made, sturdy, heavy duty hose reel. The components are aluminum or plastic, so there is no potential rust issue. The weather here is still too cold to get hoses out of winter storage, so I will focus my review on initial impressions and assembly. Of all of the products that I have purchased over the years, this one takes the prize for packaging. Each of the components are encased in plastic bags and or further packages inside their own cardboard sleeve or box. Everything is then carefully enclosed in a sturdy shipping box, so there an almost zero chance that anything will be damaged in shipping.
