Absolutely Beautiful

It’s gorgeous, it works! What else can I say! I purchased it because I needed a new one. I always buy pretty ones because they boil as well as the expensive ones that do everything except drink it for you and look it looks nice!!

Beautiful teapot, the only negative thing is that when water boils you hardly hear the whistle.

this is dangerous

Looks beautiful but it’s extremely dangerous - all that metal- the spout, lid and handle get extremely hot (naturally) the little rubber 1/2 handle does not protect your hand. If you don’t use a bulky pit holder you will be severely burned. This is a very bad design and should be recalled.

Warning: Danger! Danger!

This is beautiful, but I suspect the designers decided safety be darned!!! The "danger" isn't mentioned in the product description; you find out when you receive the item and read the instructions. Tired of looking at my very safe kettle, I purchased this. My original kettle has a heat resistent handle and, when you tip it, the spout lid opens and water comes out. Very safe. The Lenox kettle has a handle that isn't totally heat-resistant. To get water out, you have to use your hand to push on a small rubber piece. No matter how careful one is, opening the spout causes boiling water to splatter everywhere, including backwards onto you, so heat and water-resistant gloves are recommended to pour water. If your stove is near an entrance, you'll need to turn spout away from the area to prevent burning people or pets. I'm back to using the "safe" kettle. This will probably go into the donation box.

It's beautiful. I love the rubberized grip, although I do wish it extended a bit further forward. The metal part of the handle does NOT get hot. I love this teapot, but the whistle tip lever seems to be sticking when I try to open it. It is for this reason that I gave it three stars. I actually got a refund because of this. I do love the look of it so much, but I'm slightly disappointed that the tip gets stuck when I try to open it. I looked elsewhere online to see if there were any other reviews about this item and one reviewer said he tested it and there were traces of lead on the inside. He further recommended that you test it for lead first, before you drink from it. So I tested it myself and there was NO LEAD present at all.

Kettle warnings

Kettle looks beautiful. However, lots of warnings on the box and felt it was not safe for an older person to use without getting burned. We returned it.

Received used/damaged item :(

I got this for my mom who looooves Lenox for Christmas, but she didn’t realize it was so damaged until after she threw away the box and put it into the sink to wash. Sad and disappointed because there’s no way I can return this without a box.

Very disappointed

I am very disappointed in this item. I purchased it for my mom for her birthday and I was pouring her a cup of tea while I was visiting her and the water came out red. I looked inside and the inside of the tea pot is rusted out. Very disappointed.

I'm so glad I bought this. It's a beautiful pattern and is a perfect size. I like that it has a whistle. I highly recommend it.

Very pretty kettle!

It is very sweet sitting on my stove top. The top does not have heat protection, so you need to use a hot pad to remove it. I wish it whistled louder.

Poor Quality

Terrible! Not functional. The whistle doesn't work. It is a fire hazard. Would not recommend. I expected more from Lenox.

VERY NICE

Beautiful tea kettle. I have used 3-4 times a day for about 1 month now and looks like new. It whistles low, but perfect. The grip handle is great. No towel needed.

Highly Disappointed 😞

Just brought teapot and was excited to use it. I washed it as recommended it is a beautiful teapot with great space to reach in and clean. I give it a rateing of 2 stars because it does NOT whistle at ALL and metal spout n lid gets overly hot to touch. It saddens me but I will be contacting Macys to return item.

This is a beautiful looking Tea Kettle. I had a problem with this product. The first one received the whistle was not working. The return and exchange were easy, thank you Macy’s. The second one did not whistle it just whispers. So, if you are boiling water and staying in the kitchen watching it boiling this is for you. Do not forget it is on the stove if you are boiling water. It is a beautiful looking Tea Kettle and not very functional as for a Tea Kettle.

Make sure you can see both sides of the teapot

I like this teapot and did not have any of the issues others have had with it. I would have rated it higher, except the picture on the web page did not show both sides of the teapot. The other side does not match the colors in my kitchen. Had I seen the other side, I would have purchased the blue teapot.

Love it!

I got this even though it's a bit pricey. However, it is beautifully designed and good quality. We use it in the house every day and are very happy with it. Appreciate the product very much and I am glad that I bought it. (By the way, please do not set a minimum number of characters at 50 for feedback. Even when the customer loves a product, it doesn't mean she/he needs to say much. Just a friendly suggestion.)

Doesn’t Whistle

I have the butterfly collection of dishes and love this collection, so I purchased this teapot online. It arrived without any packaging in the box with the cover flopping around in the box. I just tried it today for the time and the whistle doesn’t work. will be returning it. I am so disappointed!
