Blue tooth remote for fan

Fan is located in high ceiling of outside patio. It takes a 8' ladder to reach this fan. Blue tooth remote works perfectly. And blue tooth app was very easy to download to my iPhone.

This unit was sent for free because Wayfair advertised the fan I bought coming with a remote... WHICH IT DID NOT! This unit requires total rewiring! I threw it in the garbage! Another fail from Wayfair! I'm done with this company!

This is a great remote for our fan! It allows remote control using the remote that comes with the unit. This is great but the best part, it has a both an android AND iOS app that allows you to control the fan and light using your mobile phone! The app also provides a timer to have the fan or light turn off after as much as 6 hours. It also allows more than one person to control remotely. Other similar remote seem to lock out other users if one person is linked to the fan.

I have installed a ceiling fan in almost every room of our house, this transmitter has proven to perform the best.I wish I had found it sooner! Installation is average but the operation is outstanding.Will start switching all to this receiver.

Poor range and description

The range is pretty poor. The factory remote have about twice the range. At best you get about 15 ft unobstructed Also a bit misleading...this remote is for Bluetooth only. There is another fan sync remote to be WiFi and Alexa compatible. This one just the Bluetooth app. Not well delineated in description. The setup instructions were scant. Had to call tech support to get it to connect.

Who makes home automation devices which are not WiFi and controllable via Google Home of Alexa anymore? Other than not being able to control via Google home voice it is a good unit. BT works reliably, but requires its own app on your phone and can only be used in a limited range from the receiver.

App Not Android Compatible

Down Load App before you purchase this item. I had down loaded the original App called "Fanimation" with no problem, just to be sure. Later ordering the receiver. At first everything was fine, Then App would not sync up with receiver so I tried to download newest App now called "FanSync" but it says App is not compatible with any of my devises (Samsung Galaxy Tab A or Nexus 7) I called Fanimation support and they were very helpful and understanding of my concerns and insured me they were working to expand the Apps ability. they also understood there is a lot of concerns with there App even with Apple devices.

Bluetooth doesn't work

You are probably looking at this specifically for the bluetooth capability as I was. Unfortunately it doesn't work. Didn't work at all on my android phone, and the reviews in the Google Play store were terrible. It did connect on my wife's iPhone, but didn't work reliably. I wish it worked, but it doesn't, I had to return it.
