Love these sinks. We installed them 23 years ago and just replacing all of our winks and faucets and toilets. Very good product. The only problem after 23 years was rust around drain.

Rust within a year

The house I bought had this sink and it was rusted out. I replaced it with the same one. Big mistake, it also started rusting out within a year. I now have to replace it again. Stay away from this poorly made cast iron sink!

Our new bathroom sink stands up to the Kohler reputation. High quality, good looks, and reasonably priced. It arrived in an innovative package that was sure to prevent breakage. I highly recommend Kohler!

product quality

Your company acted fine, but the product is obviously a second because the drain opening is not perfectly round so the faucet drain hits perfect all the way around. Also, on one of the lavatories the casting at the bottom of the drain opening was flawed enough that the rubber gasket and nut for the drain pipe would not tighten enough to seal the void. I had to remove the drain an modify the opening so the rubber gasket would seal properly. Not a deal breaker, but the average homeowner would have to pay dearly for someone to correct it. I have been in the building trades for almost 50 years and these things will only get worse as the U.S. increases their buying from "less than desirable" nations with unskilled workers.

Replacement - Like for Like

Our ten year old Kohler sink developed a crack near the faucets. We bought a replacement and when the old sink was taken out it was found out that there wasn't proper glue or whatever holds it to the counter. When removed we were told that we needed a new counter to put the new sink in. The new counter comes later this week.

Its a lovely sink and almost exactly what I wanted. It is so sad there are no good UNDERMOUNT sinks available. My contractor will have to labor mightily to make modifications which will allow it to be set UNDERMOUNT, like the damaged sink it will replace. Top mount sinks are only for the ease of the installer, and not at all helpful for the people who clean bathrooms (mostly women). Top mounts are awkward to clean around and just do not look neat. But mine does now.

The sinks were replacements from 26 years ago in my dental office build out. Great sturdy sinks and the install went great
