Works well. I have it just sitting on the laundry room floor but it also comes with a handy cradle you can mount it in and then plug in a remote connector. Pairing to my WiFi was very easy and it integrated seamlessly with my smart hub. I have a couple Feit smart devices and they have never given me any trouble.

[Rewarded Review] Decent detector considering no subscription fees

This water detector is thoughtfully different. It doesn't require a hub or subscription fee, yet it still sends notifications through the app to your phone. The battery is included, which is nice. Assembly was straightforward, except I found it nearly impossible to get the red plastic off the double sided tape. I needed to get a straight pin to gently tease it off the foam sticker, and it took almost ten minutes just to get it peeled. Set up had some challenges too as it was difficult to get the device to stay in paring mode. The button needs to be held down until the blue light is blinking rapidly. It timed out on me a couple of times but I finally got it to work. I'm not sure if that was the fault of the device or of my phone, but my phone usually finds other Bluetooth devices quickly. The app seems to work smoothly. To see how it works, I tested the sensor with a shallow plate of water and it worked right away. However, the unit itself didn't make a very loud alarm sound. If someone were relying on that alone, it would generally not be enough. Especially if it's in a laundry room or utility closet. I did immediately receive a push notification to my smart phone, which was great, but the default notification sound for that was very minimal too and I had to change it to a louder alert. Phone alert sound and volume, of course, is personal preference, but the volume of the unit itself should be louder. We were able to test it out several times, even while I was out of the house and I always got the notification, so it seems very reliable. We mounted it to the side of our washer and used a ruler to slide the sensor back underneath it towards the hookups. The cord for the sensor is very long and thin, which is perfect for our needs. The app shows how much battery life is left, and it's simple to remove the sensor from the mounting bracket to replace it. It also has a screw and drywall anchor option for the mounting bracket if you want something more permanent. I'm very pleased with it, especially since there is no hub or subscription fees, but I do wish it were louder so we would be alerted to a problem should we not have our phones nearby. But, overall I would definitely recommend it!

[Rewarded Review] Great for peace of mind

I love this little water sensor, I have one on my water heater and a few more in my crawlspace for the supply lines down there, it gives a huge peace of mind and allows me to act quickly if the pipes freeze, etc. it was super easy to install and seamlessly connects to my home wifi. Definitely read through the instructions before you install, I did it by myself and it took 15 minutes

This Feit Electric smart water sensor is a must have for all homeowners and renters. This smart water sensor can detect water leaks from anywhere the sensor will fit. Great for being placed behind toilets, under bathroom vanity’s and kitchen sinks, and around water heaters and washers. Comes with hardware so it can mounted to any surface. I used the double sided tape to mount next to my washer and ran the wire and sensor under my washer. Super easy to use and set up with the free app. Sensor gives off an audible beep when water is detected and the app sends a notification. I tested the sensor on my counter by pouring a little bit of water and as soon as the water hit the sensor it started beeping and within seconds my phone got leak notification. This is battery operated and works off the homes wifi. Definitely recommend.

[Rewarded Review] Piece of Mind Smart Water Detector

This smart water sensor from Feit Electric can be placed anywhere in ones home (laundry room, basement, under a sink, etc). It comes with a mounting bracket making it super easy to place in any location. (The mount can be attached to the desired location with a screw or with the included double sided tape). The set up for the sensor was pretty straight forward once the app was downloaded. It must be noted that the sensor will not work if you try to connect it to a 5 GHz wi-fi network. The sensor runs on a 3 volt CR2 battery which is included. The app conveniently tracks the battery status and will notify you when it needs to be replaced. Besides giving you a notification on your phone, the sensor will beep if water is detected. Right now, we have placed the sensor next to our water heater, but it can certainly be placed anywhere in ones home!

[Rewarded Review] Works really well in detecting water leak

Having never used a water leak detector, I was curious regarding the benefit of owning one. I never thought much about such devices until now. The Feit water leak detector works really well. I am hoping that my house will never get flooded, but if it does I am assured that the leak detector will work its magic. I tested by placing the sensor in a little bit of water and very quickly I had alerts on my app. The device and app work really well. It is very easy to set up. The directions to set it up and use the app is clear. Now I need a few more around the house.

Easy install and setup.

The sensor was very easy to install I should have put one in before the water leaked from my water heater fortunately it was captured and went down the drain. Installation was a breeze location You have to be careful so it doesn't get bumped and turned over or stepped on. Setting it up in the app couldn't have been easier works flawlessly I have tested it a few times.

Hard to connect to older iphone

Had a hard time connecting to my older iphone(6s plus). But connected instantly with my daughters iPhone 13! So far , so good!

Works well but I wish the alarm was louder

Tested it and it works! The sensor is sensitive and the app properly alerts my phone. My only issue is that the sounding alarm is quite soft in volume.
