Terrible experience

I ordered Green-Carbon-10FG that was never delivered to be. First APEC website cancelled my order and then when I ordered from Amazon it tool more than 3 weeks and still not received the order. They delivered only the free filter that comes with Green-Carbon-10FG cylinder but did not ship the cylinder to me. What am I supposed to use these tools with? Notification from Amazon said package was lost, but no email about it. When I cancelled the order, they say we cannot cancel it even thought package is lost. When Amazon delivered, it's a partial order - just the free/additional blue color filter was delivered but no black cylinder. What a mess this is and now I have to return it and go through new packaging/re-printing the return on package.

The filter was shipped to the store for pick-up within the estimated time frame. It is compact in design and easy to install. In use for only a couple of days but we have already noticed an improvement in taste and clarity of our water. Very happy customer.

Great product! Must for every home.

We've been enjoying our great tasting water without any chlorine smell. Our clothes have come out softer and cleaner than before. We have also noticed that our skin is softer, no more itchy skin for us. We love the simplicity of replacing the filter every year. Our house had no water pressure loss either. My wife and I highly recommend this product.

GOOD WATER

I got this about a month ago and installed it myself. Pretty easy had a few leaks but they just needed a little more muscle and that fixed it. Water is very nice, shower is cleaner and don't have that soppy feel when you finish.

It took me a couple of days to get the whole system installed and I wouldn't recommend just anyone trying to install it but if you have basic plumbing skills you can do it.

I LOVE our new water filtration system!!!

I purchased the Green Carbon 10 whole house filter along with a RO-HI reverse osmosis system for our new house. I had an APEC RO system at my old house so I am a repeat customer. Our water enters into the house from the garage so I installed it there. There was an existing 10" sediment filter which I had planned to remove but at the last minute I decided to keep it and use it too as a pre-filter to my APEC system. Since, in my case, installation involved re-plumbing the water heater, I decided to just replace it, too, as it was about 10 years old. All these changes presented quite a bit of plumbing work but everything went together fairly easily with no problems. Installation of the filters themselves was very easy. My system has been in use for about two months now and I could not be happier. Previously our water had a strong metallic taste and some of our fixtures were staining. Now, with the RO-HI and the green carbon 10, we have near perfect water that tastes better than any bottled water. It's too early to tell if the staining problem is gone but there is definitely a significant improvement in water quality. We drew samples of unfiltered water, water fittered by the green carbon 10 with its prefilters and from the reverse osmosis system. The unfiltered water tastes really bad. The whole house filtered water still has a slight taste and the RO water is near perfect. I also installed pressure gauges on my system at the inlet and at the output of the Green Carbon 10. I was very pleased that after passing through the Carbon 10 and two cartridge filters, I was only losing about a 3-4 psi water pressure. I am very please with all the APEC products and I would highly recommend them to anyone. The quality is superb. An added plus for me is that they are made in the US. Thank you for a great product that works as advertised!

Easy install, removes chlorine

I have been using this filter for about two months. It works well and removes all of the chlorine from the water. It removes most of the odor from the water, there is still a slight odor but better than before. I didn't notice a drop in pressure or any other changes in water. Took me a couple hours to pipe it, I used 1 inch pex.

no maintenance

I love this unit due to low maintenance, no drain water, and removes lots of our chemical smell in water. Great for city water or families who needs a no maintenance system.

This is a nicely built system and the water quality is superb! Thanks for not skimping on the components and designing a product that is built to last. I was also pleasantly surprised by the size and quality of the 20” free filter gift. Nice.

Really, really green for environment

Excellent product. No electric, no waste water is extremely important for city water customers like me who does not want to pay high water bill. There are many carbon systems in market that cleans itself so there is a lot of water wasted. Ths is really the way to go. Save money, water, and better for environment. No wonder it's called Green Carbon.

A Different Alternative

While searching for a heavy duty whole house chlorine filtration system, I noticed a majority of them had back-washing features. I wouldn't mind spending the extra dollar for such a design, but the location where to install the system have neither an electrical outlet or drain for the back washed water to flow to. The Green Carbon system does not use electricity or require a drain line, so it works out perfect for me. All I have to do is replace the free sediment filter that comes with it yearly. Such a great alternative, thanks APEC!
