Delivery and customer service ratings are not applicable - I went online, found that my store had stock, went and bought a couple of bags. My son does a lot of charcoal cooking (I mostly use our gas grille) and this is what he uses. It is very good stuff, lit right up with a news paper fire in the little chimney lighting device (no stinky, toxic lighter fluid) and did a beautiful job with some very beautiful beef.

My New Go To....Great Value!!

I love this brand. Always get large pieces of lump charcoal in every bag. Cook taste is awesome. Always consistent. So glad Home Depot carrier the 2 pack! It's my new "go to" for my charcoal needs and always a great value!

Easy to light but it seems to burn through quickly. I used a full basket for a low/slow smoke (225-250F) and it had burned through quite a bit in 4 hours. The packaging specifically says it's great for low/slow but I'm not confident it would actually survive a long cook. Given that a single back cost more, and weight less that the competing brand next to it, I'm not likely to purchase this again as I didn't feel like the value was there.

I came to home depot for my usual 2 pack of Kingsford. The website showed that my home store had 70 available bags. But upon arrival there, i was told by 2 separate employees that there was probably a mistake in the system. Which forced me to buy this charcoal. It took forever to light and burned unevenly. I was truly disappointed with Home Depot and this specific brand/purchase.

Great Charcoal

I won a really nice outdoor grill and decided as a first timer to try my hand at cooking in the great outdoors. I had not seen lump charcoal before so it looked different to me after what I was used to. It is a medium size. I like the instructions on the bag which helped me set things up. It was easy to light but burned hot with little smoke. I liked the flavor instead of the usual chemical smell. Thanks to FOGO I now look forward to cooking outside especially when the weather is hot and I do not want to heat up my kitchen.

Burns hot and burns long!

I use lump charcoal exclusively in my Kamado cooker. I also use it extensively in my Santa Maria grill. In the pics I show how I used the FOGO Blazabowl Charcoal starter. The FOGO lump started fast and it maintained a steady temperature during my cook. It really gave off a hot temp that resulted in crispy chicken skin. Much easier than with regular charcoal briquettes. I even had many pieces of lump charcoal for the next cook!

FOGO Charcoal 35 lbs. Premium Wood Lump Charcoal

My family does a lot of outside grilling and barbequing. We prefer grilling with charcoal for that outside barbeque flavor of all our meats and vegetables and fruit. If we are not doing large types of meats, such as whole turkeys, or pork and beef roasts, we prefer the medium clumps of coal. They cook faster on smaller cut-up meat and vegetables and fruit. These coals provide a very nice bed of coals and great flavor.

Awesome premium charcoal

I have used FOGO products before and have been very happy with them. This product is very similar to other FOGO lump charcoals. The only difference seems to be that the lumps are a little smaller than some of their other products. I prefer the smaller lumps because I use a charcoal chimney and it is easier to get the lumps to catch evenly and easily with the smaller lumps. These are capable of burning very hot or cool depending on the oxygen you allow them. The biggest difference I noticed with this premium charcoal vs typical briquettes of other brands is that this premium charcoal does not smoke nearly as much. Things I cook in foil with typical briquettes get a brown film on them. These premium lumps produce almost no residue when they burn. I love this and highly recommend FOGO charcoal!
