Not so great.
Where to begin?
[Rewarded Review] Simply amazing!!
This dishwasher is quiet and cleans so well- I don’t have to pre wash the dishes like my older model which was a whirlpool. It has so many cool settings and a delay even for me when I approach my time of use demand rate which I tried to avoid to save money on my electric bill.
[Rewarded Review] Top Rack Poorly Designed; Both Racks Difficult to Load Efficiently
Top rack with rollers next to, rather than beneath the top rack wastes valuable interior space. Due to spacing and arrangement of rack, very difficult to arrange without further wasting space. The loading advice in the manual is not helpful if load is not consistent with that pictured. If only a few large dinner plates on bottom rack, they tip forward.
Kickplate impossible to install
The kickplate/toeplate have multiple design flaws.
It's okay, but definitely not THAT quiet.
This is a very bare-bones dishwasher. After some research, we purchased this model based on price and the claim that is was one of the quietest models available. The price was good, but that claim cannot be true. This dishwasher is louder than the 25-year-old model it replaced. It also came with significantly less sound insulating material than our previous dishwasher. If you're looking for a simple, but noisy, dishwasher this one will do. If you need more features, or a very quiet appliance, get a different model.
[Rewarded Review] Waste of money
I purchased this product in Aug. 2024. I used the dishwasher maybe 12 times before the bottom arm came loose and melted to bottom of the dishwasher. I went online and order a replacement for the bottom arm (Sept2024). I had to want for a month because the product was back order. I received my replacement product in Oct. 2024. Try to run a load of dishes and after halfway through the cycle I started hearing whining and smelling of melted plastic. I hurry and open the dishwasher to find that once again the bottom arm became loose and started melting. Now I am out of $600.00s and a dishwasher that does not work. I am sending pictures of the new bottom arm that I waited a month to get to have it destroyed in less than one hour.
[Rewarded Review] Excellent basic dishwasher!
We recently upgraded our older home's kitchen which included (finally) adding a dishwasher. When shopping around, I was familiar and knew the "Frigidaire" brand so that was one of our top considerations. After research and comparing, we bought ours from Best Buy and installed it ourselves.
Worst - doesn't clean dishes consistently
Worst dishwasher I've ever used! I bought this over a year ago and have an extended warranty. It had never really cleaned dishes properly. We rinse them and don't put in anything with caked on food. We use the blue dishwasher agent and have tried powder, tablets and liquid dishwasher detergent. No matter what we try the dishes come out 50% dirty, forcing us to scrub them by hand. Most the cups have grit left in them that wasn't in there to start. I've had it serviced and they found no issues. We've done all the cleaning steps recommended and still this dishwasher is awful. Well beyond a return period now. I don't usually go back to review things a year later but see they are still selling this model. Lots of better machines out there which are a comparable price. Don't waste your money!
Solid basic dishwasher
Dishwasher is basic as expected but cleans dishes well. Good value for money. I would have given top marks but the door mechanism is terrible. Unlike the manufacturer description the door does NOT stay open at any angle. Initially the door would keep falling open unless it was latched. Serviceman tightened the screws on it and now it not only doesn't stay closed, but when it hits the bottom it bounces up to about halfway (just about clocked me on the chin a few times). The only way it stays down is to weigh it down which makes putting soap in a challenge. So dishwasher is fine but the door leaves MUCH to be desired.
Straight trash
This dishwasher is an absolute pile of trash. To call it cheaply made is a massive understatement. The entire thing is made 100% completely of thin plastic minus the door skin which appears to be made of probably 40 gauge sheet metal which is ridiculously thin. After securing this in place which took about 2 hours to do because of the constant twisting of the whole body of the machine from the 100% plastic, the door doesn't close properly. The door is incredibly stiff to open and close. If you have any level of arthritis in your hands you'll never be able to open the door on this dishwasher. I see absolutely nowhere for any form of tension adjustment on the door and the instructions seem to be referring to a completely different model altogether. The front cover plate is made of 100% plastic where most dishwasher (even the low cost models) are all made of metal. The door twists ALOT when opening and closing and it appears to be due to the intense stiffness of the door. Overall if Fisher Price sold this as a kids toy it would not surprise me in the least
Good for the price
I've had this dishwasher for about a month, and used all different settings. The energy saver option basically sprays a lot of water but does not clean much; I'm convinced this option exists to satisfy some government regulation. The one-hour wash cleans about 70% of the dishes properly, with the rest sustaining residual stains so one more manual wash is needed. The regular wash takes about 160 minutes (inclusive of heating) and does a better job, but about 10% of stains remain, so the heavy wash option is best, but also uses the most amount of water and energy. I recommend rinsing your dishes first unless you are using the heavy wash option.
Does the Job
I have had this product about one month. I don't have an issue with the way it works though the start button sometimes seems to be a little finicky, the dishes come out clean. I do not like the way the racks are designed on the bottom. I am unable to put 2 plates in grooves beside each other because the will tip forward and touch each other, so we end up having to put them in every other space which is not very efficient. The other thing i'm not fond of is the dark interior although I know that seems to be the way they are now but the problem we had with our last one was mildew developing and with the dark interior it would be very difficult to see the mildew. I guess or the price it is a good unit, but if I was spending alot more I would definitely test the rack loading. We had a Frigidaire Gallery prior to this, and I guess it was just a step up so had better racks.
Great value: reliable, hardworking, and beautiful
We needed a new dishwasher but didn’t have hundreds to spend on something fancy. We literally went sort by lowest price to highest price on the retail website and bought the cheapest stainless steel dishwasher we could find. You could say we didn’t have great expectations. But wow, were we blown away. For the price, it’s a beautiful piece that works hard to clean your dishes. We have used it everyday at least once, twice a day when we have guests or visitors, and I’ve never had to put anything back in the machine after a wash. It’s very reliable and also surprisingly quiet! There is great value with this machine. We have no regrets and adore our Frigidaire dishwasher.
Stay Away
I bought this dishwasher online through Brandsmart and arrived as expected. It was not cheap.
[Rewarded Review] Frigidaire Dishwasher - Modern Upgrade
Purchased this to replace a washer from the 80's, and with an install kit, it was extremely easy to install. Very light to move, easy fitment, and straight forward hook ups for drain, electric, and inlet.
[Rewarded Review] Dishwasher Model FDPC4314AB
We got this dishwasher on sale at Lowes. It had good reviews, and we had just bought a Frigidaire refrigerator a couple of weeks prior, which we like, so we figured that this would be a good dishwasher for the price, and it is. It does a great job, and pretty quiet. I installed it myself, not too difficult since we were replacing our old one. The only hiccup I had was that the water inlet connections were different from the old one. The old one used a 3/8" pipe and the new one has a 3/4" water hose. So I had to look around for a 90 degee adapter, which I found at our local hardware store. All in all, it took me about 3 hours to pull the old one and put in the new one. We're happy.
Although my new Frigidaire 24-inch Front Control Built-In Tall Tub dishwasher was great looking and worked flawlessly after it was installed, it didn't fit properly into my existing dishwasher cabinet space because the hinges on this dishwasher extend slightly outside of its 24-inch frame. Consequently, the hinges rubbed up against the walls of my dishwasher cabinet and made it difficult to open and close the dishwasher door. Had my dishwasher cabinet been a standard cabinet with moulding around the face of it, it would have given the dishwasher hinges the extra room inside the cabinet it needs for the hinges to function properly. However, my kitchen is equipped with the newer "faceless" cabinets that have no face moulding around the perimeter of the cabinets, making this particular dishwasher a poor fit for my kitchen. I returned this machine to Home Depot and purchased a Maytag dishwasher instead that fits perfectly.
[Rewarded Review] Awesome Frigidaire dishwasher
We’ve been out a dishwasher for about six months, and the dishwasher we had lasted over twenty years! They don’t make appliances like that anymore…until we saw this Frigidaire model that had phenomenal reviews. We went ahead and purchased it, under the guise that it would do a great job without all the bells and whistles that a $800-$1000 dishwasher would do. We were so thankful for this dishwasher! It was a fraction of the price of higher end models, but delivered the same results for a fraction of the cost! So pleased with this dishwasher and so happy to have one that’s easy to use, easy to maintain, and easy to repair. What more could you ask for? 10/10, highly recommended for anyone in the market for a great dishwasher at a very affordable price!!
I picked this washer because of the spray arms at the middle and on top of the upper rack. I run the dishwasher every day and don't want to prewash dishes when I own a machine that can do the job. Unfortunately this dishwasher does not clean as well as my Whirlpool did. I have the little bits of food dried on my dishes. I have tried another detergent and nothing changed.
Defective dishwasher with continuing breakdowns
I purchased this dishwasher on line through Home Depot and received it on Jan 10/2024. It came defective with a disconnected circulation pump and required a service call before I could use it. The service repairman attended Jan 25 and rectified the pump issue. On Feb 10/2024 the dishwasher ceased to pump water again. Frigidaire and Home Depot refuse to replace it. On Feb 22 a service man replaced the circulation pump again. Based on my experience I do not recommend this dishwasher and I will not purchase a Frigidaire product again. Further I will be cautious making online purchases from Home Depot.
