This fixture is difficult to install, and would take some magic to get it lined up perfectly. The base, socket, glass and washer are rough around the edges where they connect, so it grinds as you try to connect them. If you don’t find the perfect alignment on the socket, the light won’t turn on and you have to take it all apart and start over. I’m giving it a “fair" rating because it is a really good looking vintage fixture, if you can get all the parts aligned.
