damaged curtain rod

ordered this curtain rod 2 times as it was damaged both times. after 2 times, kohls will not automatically send you another one. i would have had to order all over again. needless to say, i found something somewhere else. shouldn't be this difficult.

I wished the rod bracket was a little longer. It sits close to the windows. I would have liked to put a sheer curtain behind my curtains so I could open the curtains and have a little privacy.

Resin finial - prone to breakage

Finial is made of resin, so look is a bit cheap, but given that it would be up high, not that important. The finial is also a bit bigger than I expected. But the real issue is that one of the finials arrived broken. Overstock was good about sending a replacement at no cost, which was great. I didn't open the replacement rod until recently and both finials were damaged. I probably could have glued them in place and used them, but in the meantime, I had received another rod that I used instead. The issue is how they ship the rod - the finials are screwed into the rod and surrounded by some plastic. But if the box is tossed around (as UPS/FedEx people do), the strain could easily break off the resin. So combination of poor design of the product and poor packaging contribute to the rating.

This is the third curtain rod that I purchased from Kohl’s and I only like one. There are several issues with this curtain rod and the other one that I returned. The main issue is that the extender pole does not fit!!! Basically I was sent 3 poles that are the same size and one end of each rod has the base (screw) for the finial. I am unable to use the extension pole, which I need. This is so annoying. In addition, the finials are a different color from the rod.

I ordered the plain silver curtain rod. It clearly states just silver. It arrived and it was a nickel colored curtain rod with a rose gold tint to it. Which is clearly different than the picture AND the description. I have never returned anything from Overstock. So, imagine my surprise when they charged me *** to return two items that are NOT the same as the description OR the picture. I paid a lot of extra money simply because I wanted just plain silver. I could've purchased a prettier one like this at another store for a lot cheaper. So disappointed in Overstock. I will NEVER purchase anything from them again. NEVER! Also, I will be writing about my negative experience to every avenue available to me on the web. Oh, and they said when they receive it they may take more money off, despite the fact that one is unopened and one is still in the box, only cracked open to see the color. Not a good experience.
