Beautiful brushed gold

So happy to have found the perfect hinge to replace the black ones in our new home we bought. Finding the correct and beautiful gold color has been a challenge! They are great quality as well!

Bathroom Remodel Project

Hinges replaced original fixtures in cabinetry to match all the project's hardware color. The appearance is just enough but not bold or obtrusive, yet solid and true that holds the doors effectively.

These were only hinges that met my needs on an older cabinet. Just wish the hinge pin ends were white as rest of the item. The shiny nickel takes away from the solid white look I wanted. Guess I'll have to paint those.

These are replacing identical items that came with my cabinets 36 years ago, for which the self closing feature is still working great. Very impressive. I'm just too lazy to clean and paint 42 brass hinges to make them black.

Updated look, easy install.

Got the product to replace existing hinges. Hinges were old and the springs were failing. These we’re an identical replacement so I could keep my doors / cabinets. Ordered 12. They all came right away and had all the associated hardware. Some had extra screws which I threw away as I am very anti clutter. (Some screws had unusable heads) pay attention between the long (cabinet frame side) and short (door side) screws. They look very similar.

Nice look, trash hardware

The hinge itself has a nice finish and look and operate nicely. The screws that come with the package are absolute garbage. I purchased 17 pairs and I broke several screws while installing, a few screws came with a smooth shank (meaning they werebt machined into a screw), another few had schlag in the head of the screw making them unusable. Yes i predrilled, no i wasnt using a drill. 1 or two broken screws id blame on myself. After 6 and several other screw related issues, theyre junk. If your buying these do yourself the favor and get new screws before you begin.

Great for narrow stile cabinet panels.

Used to replace standard European hinges for a glass panel cabinet door. Our stiles are only 1" x 2" oak. Measure the panels correctly as there is no horizontal adjustment for these hinges. Cut out one cabinet stile and in the other cabinet added shims. Worked out well as you have to look very closely to even notice the adjustments.

Poor Quality and Missing Parts

Very disappointed in the Quality Control. I bought (16) of these at $8 a piece, that's $128 and 4 packs were missing screws. That's 25% of my order. I was deep into putting my cabinet doors back on and could not handle having to run back to Lowes. Besides, these were special order and they would not have had a replacement in stock. So I had to dig up spare screws from my workshop. And then color them black to match the others. This is unacceptible for the amount of money each pack of these hinges cost. And very inconvenient. Also, I had numerous screw heads snap off because they were made of soft metal. The hinges themselves are decent, but the screws are cheaply made and often missing from each pack. Snapping the screw heads off into the cabinet frames creates a big headache. I do not recommend these.

Good to replace 80’s hinges

We wanted to replace our old hinges with matte black hinges when we repainted our 80’s cabinets. They no longer sell the exact style hinges we had, but these fit perfectly. I was happy to find they included padded feet to stick inside the cabinets.

We are updating our 30 year old kitchen. My wife could not decide if she wanted brushed nickel of black cabinet hardware. We purchased one set of these hinge. I installed the hinges to see how they looked and if they operated correctly. The does what it is supposed to do. My wife is happy that the hinge is matte black instead of shiny black.

Be careful ordering on this site

First, we did not intend to purchase AMEROCK hinges from Rockler. I can get this junk cheaper at other places. My wife accidently ordered the wrong ones - why? Because Rockler doesn't put the brand in the description of the item as do other normal product listings from other vendors on the internet. This in turn leads you to believe they are a generic item, which is what we intended to buy. To see what brand they are, you have to go down to the "What's Included" section at the bottom of the page. Really? There are two hinges with screws - why do I need to go searching through all of the links on the page?? Rockler would not pay for return on these and doesn't care that they are misleading people by not having the brand name in the item description. They have a number of items on the site that are generic and of good quality and this appeared to be the same type of item. I have a box of Amerock junk hinges already - why on earth would I want more? Be very careful when selecting your items on the Rockler site and be sure to read all of the links below so you don't get blind-sided like I did.

Nicely made, but useless to me now that I have it - my cabinet doors have a slight bevel and this is not designed to fit around it. My mistake I guess. Perfect for that - no good if you're trying to update older kitchens with something more modern. Quite disappointed.

Very disappointed

We bought these after reading a number of reviews that seemed positive. Our first unfortunate encounter with installing these was finding out that the included screws are cheap junk and the heads turn off. So, we ended up re-using the old screws which were much better. Now after just a couple months we have hinges starting to squeak already! And these came directly through Lowes from Amerock, not some knock-off maker.

We painted our vintage wood kitchen cabinets and wanted to upgrade the hinge hardware that had been painted over by previous owners. First quote I priced online was over $500! I was so happy to find these on wayfair and ordered enough for all the cabinets for a little over $100. Have had them up for almost a year and they seem very durable and attractive.

These hinges are attractive and the hinge itself is very sturdy; however, the screws provided are somewhat fragile - several screw heads broke off under moderate tightening with a hand-held manual screwdriver. I expected better performance for the relatively high price. Nevertheless, I would still recommend these hinges.

These hinges are great. We had our kitchen cabinets painted and I was really worried about having exposed hinges and if they’d make our kitchen look dated. I had nothing to be worried about! I love the matte black. They are sturdy, not bulky, allow for some adjustments and were easy for my husband to install.

Amerock SC Cab hinge

I made a jig to install the cabinet hinges. This allowed all the holes to be located on the face frame and doors at the same exact locations. I needed to put a shim under 2 (I installed 4 doors)hinges to level the top of the doors-which I ordered from a pro door manufacturer. These are beautiful hinges that look great on white doors. The come with the cork silencers and have a nice sound when you close them. I am satisfied with them.

I wanted something that "popped" with my color of paint that I was using, so I chose Satin Nichol Hinges. They worked great, met my expectations and were very easy to install. I bought these hinges for a remodeling project I tackled for my mom. We were looking to economically renovate her kitchen, and the project came out beautifully. We could not have had the clean finished look on the cabinets without these hinges! What a huge difference a small detail can make. They have worked out perfectly since putting them to use about 3 months ago, no snags or creaks, and they have held the weight of the large shaker doors we placed. I would recommend this product to anyone looking to get a good hinge for a good price.
