Perfect size for a complete dinner!

I am very happy with the quality and size of this air fry basket, I was able to cook 3 chicken thighs and a bunch of sweet potato fries perfectly. Plus, because it is ceramic coated it is dishwasher safe, on the top rack.

So it looks smaller in person than it looks online. I didn't really pay attention to measurements while I was shopping away. It's totally fine though! Just seemed small when it arrived based on what I was expecting in my mind. We've used it to cook frozen French fries and also to cook asparagus. Both worked great. Both cooked in less time than it usually takes. We roast vegetables a lot and plan to use it for that quite a bit. Easy to clean. The smaller size is actually nice because you can fit it in the stove next to other pans on the same shelf if needed. We have a range that you can choose classic "bake" or "convection". We used convection while cooking with this. I think with this you actually get the benefit of the convection fan/air flow. Overall, it's a great addition to our kitchen!

Not Sure About The French Fries

We have only used this a couple of times for french fries, but both times noticed that the fries come out drier inside and out. Normally we would bake the fries on a cookie sheet covered with aluminum foil. All I can figure is that having the warm air circulate all around the fries takes too much moisture out of them. Will see how it works with other foods. Cleans up very easily.

[Rewarded Review] Crispy food without frying

What a great crisping tray to get that crisp food without having to fry it in oil. I love how the tray is elevated to allow the air to flow all through. Sits with a copper tray underneath to catch any crumbs or grease. Food comes out crispy without all the mess. Cooks evenly. Easy to clean.

Gotham Steel Non-Stick Air Crisper

I followed the recipe for the potato wedges, and I was so disappointed. First of all, the Gotham Steel recipe left a lot to be desired and resulted in tasteless potatoes. Second, the potato wedges were not crispy at all. I will try using this to reheat pizza; maybe that will work out better.

Good construction, right-sized for my toaster oven

Works well, and fits inside my toaster oven (which is much larger than typical toaster ovens - mine is the Hamilton Beach XL w/rotisserie). Nothing super special about using it for cooking as it works the same as any lipped pan with a grate to suspend the food, but its price was close to any others that I'd get which didn't have any coating. Only makes sense for use in a convection oven where the air gets moved around instead of wafts around. The coating makes for easy cleanup. Note the pan and grate are coated, not some solid special metal, so you could scratch the coating, and why use of nylon or silicone utensils is required.

Very versatile, quasi air-fryer in convection oven

I own one, and I will buy another one. Besides the obvious use as a rack for air-frying, this came in handy when I took "asparagus for a crowd." After soaking the asparagus, it was easy to lay the asparagus flat to drip dry. Later, after cooking, I again placed the asparagus on the basket part to allow drainage. In the Breville Smart Oven Air, the tray is rather short, but a basket bringing its own tray for easy cleanup is ideal. After making potato fries from scratch, I found that this tray holds about 1 1/2 potatoes' worth of fries. Two of these sets will fit easily in my 36" oven, so I'm game to buy another one. Compare your oven's interior dimensions with this tray, and you might be able to fit 2 of these at the same time, too. Tonight I cooked 1/4" wide russet potato fries (tossed in a plastic bag with 1 Tbsp. oil and 2 tsp. Tony Chacere's "More Spicy" creole seasoning) at 425F and 22 minutes (regular oven setting). I did not have to turn the fries over halfway through baking!

Comes in two sizes, this is the smaller one

I purchased this thinking it only came in only one size. I actually purchased this from another store for $15 and when I saw this one for $10, I grabbed it and had planned to return the other one. Turns out, this product comes in more than one size the WalMart was selling the smaller one. It's not obvious on the website that this is the smaller one. So I ended up returning it to WalMart. My bad, should have really looked at info on item before buying it. Other than that, the bigger one works great but I did notice the french fries crisp up better if you take the tray out about half way through cooking. By then, all the little pieces that would have fallen onto the bottom of the oven had fallen so no mess from taking out the tray. Easy to clean too.

I'm disappointed.

The first thing I thought when I pulled it out of the box was OMG it's so tiny. It's like play cookware. It's smaller than a half sized jelly roll pan. It seems like it's well constructed, it has some weight to it so it's not flimsy it's just really small. If you wanted to use this for a family meal you'd need 2 of them for sure.
