Assembly Instructions
it was some what hard to put together . It took the three of us four days to put the shed together. We followed the instructions in the booklet and went online to see how the shed was being put together we had to do go back over some of the items that we put together wrong especially the sky light but it's all together and everybody that has seen it has said that it looks really nice .
instruction book and video do not match.
took us 2 days to assemble and almost got a divorce cause of it A lot of parts . A lot!!! and 3 boxes that are extremely heavy . most parts are not labeled. Parts you need are scattered in all the boxes. doesn't make sense ,but in the end it's a very nice shed .Can't wait to load it and start using
Arrived okay. Will provide updated review when I install it in 2 weeks.
Spacious and practical
The shed was delivered sooner than I expected, which was a pleasant surprise! Assembly was manageable, though I recommend having an extra set of hands. It's very spacious, and I finally have a place for all my tools and lawn equipment.
parts don't line up
This shed is nice so far however building it was a nightmare. Side doors did not line up right thank god my husband is handy we had to cut a new hole for the pole insert on the right side door, the back corner top side (the triangle one) did not line up had to cut some of the one panel to get it in. Not all pieces were labeled. Video was not super helpful at times. Holes didn't always line up or would strip out and not hole the screw in. Otherwise seems like now that it is done it will be a good shed just hoping when the rain comes it won't leak.
How I Wasted my June '24'
IF you are thinking about buying this product, know that it isn't for above 80°f weather and Walmart hasn't helped me with this order that has been late for almost 3 weeks. My $3660 was deducted and that's all... I've taken time off to be home for this delivery and, 3 times now it hasn't shown up. I still haven't received my shed but so far, I wish I didn't order it thru Walmart.
Missing a whole box
I ordered this product in February of this year(2024). Before I ordered I watched severals videos to make sure this was something I could do. I found the youtube video by lifetime showing step by step instructions. After watching that video and one other I felt confident I could do it. The package arrived 6 weeks earlier than scheduled per the time slot stated on the order. Normally arriving earlier would be a good thing, but it wasn't because I did not plan on assembling until May.When the package arrived it was ONLY THREE BOXES. The youtube assemble video by lifetime showed FOUR boxes. I go outside (in February) and look at the order info and the boxes said 1of 3, 2 of 3 and 3 of 3. I sighed a sigh of relief saying to myself Lifetime must of changed thr packaging, because he was THREE large boxes on a pallet, each weighing over 300lbs. So I take four days off for memorial day weekend. Made sure to build two weekends before memorial weekend. My son and I had to open each box and move each set to the backyard the day before, hand every tool I needed in a box with instructions and rose early in the morning to assemble. PER the instructions and the video I look for the first box EKI hardware to assemble the rafters of the roof. This is when I realized I am missing a WHOLE box. I called bed, bath and beyond and ai have to wait 1-5 to even get some resolution. Some reviews said some hardware was missing, but a whole box. My yard is a mess because I had to Tare down the old shed to put the new shed in its place, so this was a hard lesson to learn. Just a word of caution. Hope I will update this and get a fair reasonable response, but not very happy missing a box.
You want honest I'll give you honest. Get comfortable open a cold one and listen up. This one will take awhile. It's not sunshine and butterflies described in most of these reviews. You will be delivered four giant boxes. None and I repeat none of the boxes are packed according to the directions. So be prepared to open every single box to just start the first couple steps. Wish I could type that in slow motion. At this point I recommend opening a cold one. You will get angry, yell and lash out. A warning label should be posted at this point, but it is not. You will question everything in life going through these steps. Hahaha almost forgot then you will find most of the metal pieces are not labeled "loved that one". At this point take a couple days off. Make up with the wife, then continue. I hope you are able to read a tape measure because if not. You might need something stronger then a cold one at this point. After putting together all the joists and doors etc. Then a million years later. You will be able to started building the structure. Oh wait never mind I forgot all the metal pieces you need to screw to the wall uprights first. OK, now you Can start putting the walls up. By the way the manual is 100 pages long. Hope you like novel's. Best bet is to use the manual with the video. By the way just pointing it out. They use pre recorded impact sounds for every time they tighten a screw with screw gun. BS I know, but it's true. Now for the skylight. They must of edited that part on the video like no other. Thier is no way in HE double hockey sticks that he did that without looking like a worm on wet pavement after a rainstorm. After all that you can have some kind of relief until you realize you have to put in about 170 self tapping screws. Once you get your rotator cuff fixed you'll be set to anchor the shed down. After building ramps, dressing up the base with some nice lattice because I did mine on a wood base. The shed looks great! WARNING USER BEWARE WARN WIFE BEFORE COMMITTING TO THIS SHED! Once shed was completed I am happy with it and it beats the hell out of spending 3x that for wood. Enjoy
Delighted with service and shed!
Impressed with the swift delivery. Customer service was top-notch, Nick was very helpful and informative. The shed is everything I hoped for and more. Highly recommend!
Great shed
This shed wasn't too difficult to assemble, and offers a lot of storage space. We love it!
So far so good, except the flooring, read review!
Took us 3 days to put it all together, seems pretty strong and durable. Directions are very hard to read but thankfully they have videos linked with QR codes that we were able to watch, those were very helpful! 4 out of 5 stars because the floor bubbled up 2 days after we built it. I had to buy decking screws and screw the whole flooring to the platform we built. Hopefully that helps.
Awesome assembly instructions!
Love it. Very good assembly manual and all pieces are labeled clearly. Once assembled it is a very sturdy, solid shed. If you follow the manual it is very easy to assemble. It's exactly what we needed and will stand up great in MN winters. See the photo while it was being assembled.
Very hard to build
It would be helpful when packing the building up for delivery to stack it up so the last item to go on top is the first item to be used putting it together. That way you don’t have to open every box at once.
You will not regret buying a lifetime shed!
I LOVE this shed! It’s high quality and in my opinion it’s the best “build on site” shed on the market. I love the 8 foot wide by 20 feet long dimensions because it fit perfect for my side yard.
Shed is up and looks great. Very happy with the quality and appearance. Definitely don't think they're accurate on their estimate of time and manpower to put together - it is more difficult than it is conveyed. But happy with the end result.
Delivery team Moises and Aleena were excellent!
Great Shed, Great price!
I purchased the 8x20 lifetime shed. It was a great choice. Very sturdy, and easy to assemble. Customer service was great to deal with as well. Super friendly and helpful. I totally recommend Backyard Oasis!
Perfect Size We Needed!
These guys were the only place they had this size! We are putting our hot tub in it and wanted to ensure we have room all around the hot tub to put extra chairs and towel hangers! Its so big it also stores a bunch of our gardening tools! Great website and easy checkout process.
Great product and the delivery people were so helpful!
