No frills surge protector. The size (3 outlets) is perfect for several applications in my home. Not really using the USB outlets yet, but you can never tell…there could be a future need. Pros are: compact size, and slanted plug in to the wall. (Leaves room for another plug to use the outlet) The only Con I can think of is no lighted “on/off” switch. If you’re into that, you’re out of luck. I’m good with it.

This 2-pack of mini-power strips provide surge protection up to 450 Joules. Each has 2 USB ports and 3 grounded electrical outlets, and a 3 foot 16 gauge braided cord. They are straight forward to use. They are designed for indoor use only. The surge protection covers up to $25,000 connected equipment warranty—meaning equipment damaged by a surge while connected on these will be repaired or replaced. It doesn’t state this, but most surge protectors only protect for ONE surge (up to the 450 joules); any surge thereafter will flow through.

Like just about everyone else, I converted unexpectedly to a home office five days a week from a formerly partial work from home situation. Now juggling two monitors, a docking station, a microphone, and other peripherals for my workstation, I needed a more robust surge protector than the tired old one I'd been using up to that point. More importantly, technology evolved and USB ports can be in short supply for chargers. Especially with clunky cellphone and device chargers, just having something I could plug an extra-long USB cord into would make all the difference. I didn't want an additional hub on a desk where space already was at a premium.

There are 3 outlets with a maximum of 13 amps total load,1625 Watts and 2-USB 2.4 amp charging ports. The surge protectors are rated at 450 joules and have a $25,000 connected equipment warranty. The cord's braided covering helps make it a little more flexible and the three-prong plug is flat and angled so the cord stays closer to the wall and does not interfere with the use of the other wall outlet plug in. There are no indicator lights or switches on these surge protectors.

This pretty, green-colored 2-pack of surge protectors is the perfect size and configuration for our new electrical needs. I love that they have a flat plug head making it easier to plug them in behind our furniture. Each surge protector has 2 USB 2.4 AMP charging ports, 3 electrical outlets, a 16-gauge braided cord, and each is capable of carrying a power load of up to 13 AMPs (1,625 watts).
