It did definitely quiet the room. We first laid the quiet board down on the floor of a room above a garage. We tested the garage door and noticed it was considerably quieter. When we laid the padding and the carpet the sound was almost nonexistent.
Buyer Beware squishy floor
I am very disappointed with this product. Quiteboard does not support our floor seams (6mm lvp) and it feels squishy underfoot. Do not buy.
I love the fact the concrete basement floor is now...
I love the fact the concrete basement floor is now softer and quieter; however the pieces were not true to stated size. Each box had differing sizes, and the edges (due to manufacturing & cutting) were rounded, not flat, as expected for a “rigid board.” Several Cases of caulk were needed to make the seams smooth! Really!! One has to fill the cavity each seam makes! Yet it states it’s made for glue down vinyl. Buyer beware when using under glue down vinyl!
