Great value
Received item quickly and in great condition. Assembly was easy, as included directions were illustrations which were ok. Cover is probably too thin for hard freezes, but great for spring plantings and over wintering in milder climates. I’ll probably run a drop light in for some heat on the below 25(f) days. And will add additional layers for anything below 20(f). The attached try strings are not the best, Velcro would have been a better choice. Overall a very good value and I would buy again
This very affordable ($32.89 tax in) little treat is just the ticket! The tubular frame is smoothly powder coated steel, and comes in about 33 (?) pieces that are well marked and that fit together very snugly with sturdy plastic joints. I'd say the tubular steel is 3/4".
Totally served its purpose. Packaging was supported to prevent damage. Items were labeled and organized for fast set up and inventory check. Easy set up instructions. Took 10-15 minutes to set up. Quality materials. Happy I went with 9ft size. Filled up fast. Definitely recommend. Reinforced on my deck with weighted rocks. No issues. Considering purchasing another to expand my plant growing. Stored away carefully to use for many more seasons. Good price at Home Depot. Had to wait an extra 5 days for delivery from Georgia- but worth the wait.
Mini Greenhouse
Have purchased many different sizes of these, work well to increase growing temperature by about 10 degrees and more when the sun is out. Love it in the Spring when they are on sale. Can also use to increase temperature for new chicks to run around safely. Wish material was a little……bit more durable but cant beat the price and customer service.
Used on screened-in pool deck in central Florida in the winter months to grow seedlings, restrict water, wind and cold temps. Customer needs to add weights to hold the outside perimeter screening down in high winds. Very light and easy to assemble. Couldn't find any similar product sold for this $.
Greenhouse
This was the best of three products I purchased. I really like it. It is easier to move around or take off when the weather is warmer. I live in south Louisiana and we have dramatic weather changes. Just be sure to do the tie downs at the bottom or the cover can blow off in high winds.
Great purchase!
This is such a convenience! I live in Florida where the winter weather changes on a dime. I often don't hear that we are getting a frost until the 6 o'clock news. I have in-ground tropical plants and cumbersome heavy planters in a garden. Previously had to run out and cover them with sheets in the dark. I was able to place this over all those plants with the opening facing the sun and all I have to do is zip it up if it's going to be too cold for these plants or a frost is predicted. Simple to unzip too, just wish those tie backs were a little longer. It's been working like a charm and It will be easy to store when the bi-polar winter is over.
I set this up in early December to protect my outdoor cacti and succulents from California’s winter rains. It was easy to assemble; I did it by myself in less than 45 minutes (hint: gather and organize all the parts first!). The cover fits perfectly and the zippered flaps are a breeze to open and close. It’s now late January, everything is holding up and my plants are happy.
The potential is there. This could be a great product. Unfortunately, mine had a little trouble. The metal pole pieces did not always fit well into the plastic connectors. Once I had the frame assembled, the poles would sort of fall out of the plastic connectors - not all of them but enough. Then the plastic tent was too snug. It went over the frame well enough until it was time to close it. Zipping it closed was a problem. I had to leave one end partially zipped because the fabric was just too tight. This left an opening which I had to "close" using plastic grocery bags and painters tape. The next day I opened it/unzipped the zippers that would close to allow in the sunshine. When it was time to reclose/rezip the zippers that previously closed they fought me. It was another struggle. Lastly, I noticed the zipper that required the plastic bag and tape had actually pulled out from the plastic tent. So now there's another hole.
Cautionary Tale:
Super easy to put together by just one person, and will disassemble and store easily as well. I used some hooked tent stakes to secure the bottom rails. Something like this is necessary or it will blow away for sure. I think the top ties are to hold the rolled up doors, but I threaded the one end through to the inside to tie the cover to the roof rail for added security. Just flip the door over the top to the back. It gets plenty warm and humid inside!
This got me through winter
I’m so pleased with this greenhouse! I put it in my screened patio and was able to protect the outdoor potter plants even through our hard freeze. Now I’m getting ready to plant lettuce and will need it outside to protect from the summer sun this year. So easy to put up and take down!!
Takes up some space, more long than tall.
Easy to set up, lots of room. I set this up in about 20 minutes by myself. I did set it up inside (portions of it) and then finished setting it outside on my deck. Easy to do, holds together well. It sits on my deck, so away from the 'wind' and I do not need to anchor it into the ground. Fits many of my plants and a frog (he came along with the plants) and I can easily unzip portions of it which is nice. Just love this product, fits my needs 110% and am consider buying another one for under my deck. I love to keep my outdoor plants alive yearround if I can. I live in NC so the winter is not as harsh. That is why I went with this type of product. Feels like heavy enough protection. I did not want shelves due to the weight of my plants. So if you have a flat surface, this is going to be the better product. It takes up a good amount of space so a larger deck, patio or on the ground (to cover garden) would make the most sense. Not something you would use indoors unless you have a large space.
Easily assembled raised bed cover / extend season
It is too early to give a full evaluation of this product but at this point, I am very pleased. I had two raised beds that they fit the width perfectly. Without the raised beds I would have had trouble but I'm 81 years old. They were easy to assemble. I only wish the had a heat vent that could be opened on hot days rather than opening a whole side door. I also hope to use the frame for a mesh row cover next summer to keep my plants bug free without chemicals. I remember from earlier training, one layer of plastic essentially moves you 400 miles south. I'm looking forward to an extended garden season.
Almost Perfect
Pros:
I had my doubts about the quality of the product. I had no way of knowing how good the plastic cover was or how well it would fit. So i took alot of tips from other reviewers and when the product arrived I put together the frame and duct taped key joints so it would not come apart. The cover is much heavier than I anticipated and fit perfectly. Next I used a 2x4 in the front and one in the back and used electrical clamps to attach the frame to the 2x4. Once done I leveled it on soil and placed mulch around the inside base frame. The next day i was going to drive two wooden stakes in the ground and attach to wood 2x4s with a screw so it would not blow away. I live on a high ridge with westerly winds that can be brutal so that nite I heard the wind howling and thought oh no I bet it blew over the hill. I got up with my flashlight and went out to check but it had not moved. Early the next morning I got the stakes in, put my plants in and it has not moved....at all! Very pleased with my purchase!
