[Rewarded Review] Simple and Perfect
This is a really simple machine but gets the floors epically clean with little product. Bona runs $20 a jug so it saves me a ton of cash when mopping. I’ve completely abandoned my cedar mop for the most part. I like the non steam because we have old original hardwood floors and steam can damage the hardwood. It’s also great for applying oil wax or shine coat to remove scratches. It’s almost addicting if you like your floors to be super clean. Everything dries quicker too. Would recommend if you have pets or kids and it’s hard to keep the floors looking and feeling new.
Mop heads attached by screws and won't stay on
We liked this mop as an easy cleaning tool without having to use too much elbow grease, BUT the round mop heads are held on by screws. One of the screws fell out and will not go back in. I tried using a different screw but it seems that the hole itself is somehow stripped. We've only had this for two years and I'm not entirely sure how this issue happened, but now the mop is unusable and we have to decide if we should get a new one knowing it has this issue or go for a different type. We have a crawling baby so like to have something to easily clean with
I would most definitely purchase this again
I love this thing. We have dark hardwood floors, two big dogs, and a dusty back yard so paw prints were all over. This makes it much easier to keep our floors cleaned and polished. We can use it with the polish that is sprayed on the floor. We don't mix it in with the water. They come out so clean and shiny. We loved that it came with such a long cord also.
Internal Gears are Plastic and Break
I've had this machine for 2 years and it works reasonable well, however, the internal gears are made of plastic and break or wear easily causing one or both spin pads to stop spinning. My husband who is handy, has replaced the gears on both sides twice and today, after just 3 months, one of the pads stopped spinning again. This is not just my machine, my friend has the same unit and her husband has replaced the gears multiple times as well. Seems that since the gears have to work so hard to spin the docs that they would be made of metal. This is the last time I'll ask my husband to repair my machine. I'm looking for a different brand to replace it.
I have clean floors!!!
Two dogs, three cats, and Oregon rain. I can never keep up with the mud. I had had a steam mop, but this house has laminate floors, and the steam is not good for laminates. So, the floor was not getting washed as often as it should. I was concerned, thinking this mop might not fit under the base cabinets, but clearance was adequate. The mop is easy to use, not heavy, though it sometimes has a mind of its own and tries to go off in a direction you were not intending. I am a very happy camper, thrilled I made the decision to purchase. .
Love it!!
I love this!! Goodbye mop and bucket. So easy to use, quiet, and the mop head swivels to get in smaller spaces and around furniture. I bought the corded model since battery life seems to fade over time. My floors are clean in minutes and dry almost immediately.
Cleaning my hard floors is so easy, it is fun!
My home has a LOT of ceramic tile flooring and cleaning it with the my SpinWave Spin Mop is so easy, it is actually fun. I attach the pads in seconds by pressing them against the velcro on the mop heads, fill the detachable cannister with cleaning solution and drop it in place. That's it! I am ready to clean; I just plug it in and turn it on. There is no pushing or pulling required. The quiet rotating heads set the Spin Mop into a gentle motion, making it effortless to guide across the floor. To dispense the cleaning solution I press the spray button in the handle and it comes out in a fine even spray ahead of the spinning mop heads. When I am done, all I have to do is remove the pads and toss them in my washer. Cleaning my hard floors is now a joy. Bissell created another winner with the SpinWave Spin Mop.
[Rewarded Review] Muddy Paws Happen
Muddy paws happen and there is not always time to get out a mop and bucket. This Bissell Spin mop cuts down on the time and effort it takes to keep my tile floors clean. The only drawback is that it is not a vacuum style cleaner with a dirty water holder so for best results you need to vacuum or dry mop your floors before you use this cleaner. The cleaning pads just go in the washer when you are done, ready for the next time. There are higher priced models that do have a vacuum function but for the money, I am very pleased with this floor cleaner.
Very helpful
I’m a very clean person my husband would say I am extremely clean. I like to walk bare feet so I like my clean floors. I chose the Bissell spin wave with the electric cord because the cordless one only does 20 minutes. I find it to be very helpful to quickly and efficiently wipe the floors, it scrub the floors however it doesn’t necessarily take tough stains out, but neither does none of the others. I’ve tried them all.(all kind of the Bissell and shark steam mops, etc.) This was the best. The power remains strong. It’s very easy to fill the water, and the amount of water goes a long way. You don’t have to fill it too often. Once you mop with the water, don’t press the water go over it, and it will sponge it all up. It does not leave any streaks. This time I purchased it from Walmart because Costco only had the cordless one. otherwise, Costco stands behind their products forever. Walmart is second as far as returns exchanges, etc.. it’s also not heavy basically you just need to guide it, for me that’s important. I don’t have a lot of strength in my upper body.
Didn't perform as expected
I decided to buy this based on all the positive reviews. My main concern is a large textured tile area in the house. It's very hard to deep clean in the little pits and crevices. Unfortunately this Spinwave didn't touch any of that, and that was what I was most interested in cleaning. It did a fairly decent job of cleaning the surface, but it wasn't any better than using a standard mop. It was, however, easier. It did fine on my hardwood floors, but I can also clean those with almost any mop and get the same result. I'd give it 1 star on textured tile. 3 stars on hardwood. I returned it because it didn't clean what I needed it to.
Quiet and lightweight
I used this on laminate "wood" floors and it looks clean but leaves circular marks that I had to go over with a dry mop. That worked well. The other thing is that even though a lot of dirt came off, when I wiped the floors with a white cloth, it came up gray so wonder why all the dirt didn't clean up. I still have to use a mop to clean hard to reach spaces that the Spin Wave can't get into. That said, it still takes a lot of the work out of mopping. Just wish it didn't have circular pads.
Works on Nasty Dried Dog Drool
I bought this product to clean our hardwood floors. We have two dogs who regularly drool on the kitchen wood floor and I have always used a scrub mop with spray on floor cleaner. I was able to clean the floor, but it took a lot of scrubbing. I decided to try the Bissell Spinwave floor cleaner based on some reviews I read. On my first attempt I thought "this is not working" since the force applied by the device could not match my fierce manual scrubbing - which was hard, sweaty work. But I learned I just had to have patience and allow the machine to work by making several slow passes over an area. I was really impressed with how well it worked when I did that. On areas that were way less dirty it took fewer passes. The biggest difference? When I finished I had a very clean floor and I was not exhausted! Great product.
Two thumbs up.
Bissell delivered my SpinWave within a few days of ordering. I have used my mop twice and so far I love it. It's easy to fill, and the pads are easy to put on. I've tried both sets of pads. The course pads seem to be best for stuck on dirt. The softer pads are great. When I'm done mopping, I just take the pads off, I rinse them off, put them in the washing machine. I let the pads air dry. Getting older, I find this is easier than regular mopping. Great product Bissell!
Product Really Works
I bought the corded Spinwave to clean our hardwood floors, which are in our kitchen and dining area. I have been using microfiber pad scrub mops - which do the job, but are pretty physically taxing to use. We have three dogs who tend to drool on the floor - and dried dog saliva is very hard to clean up easily. I was skeptical that this Bissel floor cleaner would be up to the task, and I bought thinking I would probably return it because it seemed to lightweight and inexpensive to do the job. I was wrong. Once I realized I needed to let the machine do its job by moving it very slowly and allowing the pads to spin in one area a longer time, and making multiple passes, it did a great job cleaning up the dog saliva. Other dirt and spills are easy in comparison. I was thrilled that I could clean the floor without exhausting myself by having to put so much downward pressure on my scrub mop. Part of it might be the hot water that I was using, but whatever it is, the product works for me. I bought extra pads so I can change them out halfway.
Very relaxing to use
Just received my SpinWave today and already put it to good use. It's super easy to put together and is soooo quiet in operation. It's well built, well designed and I find it very relaxing to use, the motion is very smooth and effortless to glide along. Oh, and it also cleans the floor very well, much better than a normal mop as evidence by the colour of the pads on first use. The cleaning product it comes with also smells lovely and fresh.
We love this mop!
My partner and I love cleanliness and have two cats...that don't. We use our CleanView Swivel Pet Vacuum Cleaner to vacuum the floors, rugs, baseboards and upholstery for debris and then finish cleaning the hard floors with this and it cleans up the rest. With that vacuum and mop combined, our place is so much cleaner, it's easier and faster to clean, the air is fresher as well.
Much easier than pushing a mop
I do like this product and will continue to use it just because of requiring less energy than pushing a mop. That being said, it still leaves marks on my floor. Not sure how to get rid of them. Also, BISSELL has two categories for how much water/solution to put in the tank - small area and large area. It would be nice if they could be more specific. My 1st use, I assumed it was a large area but I had some leftover in the bottle/tank. And, being that you shouldn't put the machine away with solution in the bottle I set the bottle upright on the kitchen counter for awhile and came back later to a large pool of liquid on the counter (it leaked out). They should recommend that the bottle be placed on it's back side (laying down with the 2 black discs facing upward) if there is still liquid in it.
I Was Less Than Flattered!
I used my Crosswave (corded model) for a few years and I have loved it and given it a wonderful review. It always left my tiles looking buffed, smooth and shiny. But the Spinwave??....not so much! The Spinwave left my floors dull, flat and murky looking - almost like this layer of residue that I could NOT buff out! First I used the scrubby pads with the Bissell solution - floors looked AWFUL and swirly marks from the pads everywhere. I tried using more (and then less) spray on the floor - no difference. Then I switched to a clean set of the soft buffing pads. This time I just used warm water with a pinch of rubbing alcohol (thinking that would help cut the residue and leave the floors shiny). Nope! They still look terrible, swirly marks and all. My floors have never looked so terrible. Actually they looked better when they were dirty! I tried to upload a couple of pictures but unfortunately they don't paint a very detailed picture of the final results. I don't know what I could possibly be doing wrong. It's not rocket science. Anyway, I guess maybe the Spinwave isn't for my kind of floor?? I dunno, but these results are so unimpressive that I don't even care to use this machine again.
Mostly I like this machine, but...
This "mop" is used to clean my hardwood and tile floors in my home. It does an OK job, but there really doesn't seem to be much difference between the softer pads and the pads that are supposed to be the heavy duty type pads. However, my biggest gripe is that Bissell can't seem to find a way to keep the screws, that hold the pads on, tight. Every couple times I use the machine, I have to get out the screw driver and tighten both of the screws on both of the pad holders.
New best friend. .
I never thought I was going to buy one of these. In the market for a carpet shampooed since the last one I ordered from the home tv but it never worked. Had to send it back. (Purple/Green) very disappointed. I then decided and determined to still give this brand a try. During that. time I pulled a muscle in my back , and so this little friend popped up.and all attention went towards my new besty. It is a little light weight, but for a first try , it did agreat joband I am a bit of a neat person. I am so pleased with this mop that I talked about it a lot to family . It really surprises me. I am happy to have it. Hopefully when I get my new carpet cleaner, will be pleased as well. Thanks for that product Bissell.
