We installed six of these lights in our living room...
We installed six of these lights in our living room renovation. They were very easy to install and look great. We put them on a dimmer. You turn them on for lights. Turn them off and back on again and the night light comes on. The updated look from these lights, especially in night light mode, is most impressive.

They have changed
I bought same halo brand lights on close out about a year ago (Non selectable color). These are much different. They keep quiet the fact these aren’t made by eaton. The old ones were metal with a ribbed recessed and convexed bulb. Also the spring paddles where twice as large. The price was the same as these onsale >$7. They sacrificed everything i liked about the light for a color select ability you dont even use. I bought 15 of them. They are still the best option but the appeal is way down

here's a side-by-side photo of their good quality 6 in wafers and their poor quality 4-in wafers. 1 the 4-in is missing the quick connect wire nuts.2 it's also missing the quick connect cable slots. 3 the wire nuts provided are too small and have to be thrown away. 4 so hooking up these to your wires takes twice as long. if your homeowner maybe this is no big deal but if you're a pro that does hundreds of these a year it's infuriating. I've been a loyal customer of Halo for 12 years and have installed hundreds and hundreds of halo lights. this is the first time in 12 years I'm considering going to another brand.
Nice light easy to install
Only complaint is the supplied wire nuts they are just too small barely fit on 14awg. otherwise simple easy to install light fixture will be buying more.

Some nice features in these little lights. RIght off, they are low profile so if clearance is an issue, this may be the solution. Typical install with a junction box and a nice quick connect cord to the LED with a gasket inside to keep moisture out. The entire light is damp rated and one of my favorite things is the selectable LED color tempature. Overall, quite pleased.

It just so happened that I was replacing the high hats for a friend on the stairs leading to the basement. This was a pretty old house with mixed lathe and sheet rock construction, making it really difficult to figure out where the studs were without significantly poking holes everywhere. The HALO canless LED remodel light is a great addition. We needed a light over the sink and this worked great. It was an easy install and is nice and bright. If you don't feel comfortable with electricity I would recommend an electrician, but I've installed various electrical items and this was a breeze to install. The added light over the sink made a huge difference and I recommend this for anyone needing additional light in any room.

This light is easy to install, but it is a lot larger than I anticipated. The fascia of the light is about 4.5 inches wide, which I expected. However, the core of the light and the electrical parts above the fascia only taper down to about three inches. Had to cut a 4" hole to install the light, which is what I expected, but the retaining clips are stored high up on the light fixture, and so I had to use 1" wooden blocks to install it into the curio cabinet I was working on.
