I will now need to make a run to the hardware store to buy caps for the holes and screws. At the store I saw similar items come with those so I didn't even think to look on here. But, nope, no hardware.#10 screws fit the best

Very nice bracket

These brackets helped me to build a shelf on the wall. The oak takes stain very well and the design is just what I was looking for. They were a little difficult to install since each bracket required two small screws into the wall or nails into a stud. But I found some screws. It also looks like there is a top piece that goes into it but I could not find it. Overall, I am very happy with the finished product.

I came up with a shelf design and had my husband build and install it . I bought these brackets here, to make it alittle less work for him . We were sooooooo impressed with the quality . They look even better in person than in the picture . They took paint so smooth and so even . They felt so solid! I think they were suppose to be pine , but they sure felt heavier than that . Incredible quality at an incredible price . You don?t get to say that to often anymore ! I hope to buy more to do a smaller mantel shelf for the same room. There are a total of 8 of them in this shelf design

I ordered 2 so that I could put a shelf over the washer and dryer. These are very sturdy and pre-sanded. I primed and painted them. But installation was not dso easy without a really long drill/screwdriver bit because the predrilled holes are so close to the support. It took a little longer than I planned. Glued in the button plugs (purchased separately) and added the shelf.

Good for building sturdy plant shelves in windows

I have used these brackets many times to install sturdy wooden plant shelves in front of my windows. They are decorative, blend in with traditional woodwork and, once sanded, take paint well. I have never had an issue with any bracket failing. I recommend them to gardeners and houseplant enthusiasts. I noticed that the price has gone up and Home Depot no longer carries them.

Good Bracket - but needs attention to finishing.

They are great brackets.They have a nice weight to them, and feel very sturdy. I gave a 4 star rating as some of the pre-drilled screw holes have raggedy edges ... I bought wood plugs at the same time as these brackets, and I unfortunately went with the flat ones. If I'd gone with the round ones, which overlap the front edge a little bit, the raggedy bits may have been hidden.As is is I will have to sand the edges to tidy them up.

Collapsed after 1 year

I had two of these holding up a floating mantle that I used for bottles of my high end whiskey. They seemed to be holding perfectly. No signs of coming apart. One evening I sat a glass down and one of the brackets came apart. The mantle fell resulting in 3 broken toes and severe damage to the mantle. They looked nice, but not withstand the test of time.

Fantastic shelving brackets

I like the polished finish of these and they are made well. I also like the drilled recessed holes that allow for non splintered installation. I stained them in a bout 5 minutes and now they match the interior of my home. I have them currently attached to a wood plank holding up about 40lbs. I would purchase again in the future.The only thing I wish they would list is the actual dimensions of the screw holes on center. They give the complete piece and not the holes.
