I chose this mailbox so the high side flag wouldn’t cover any of my house numbers. I needed 5” Hy-Ko vinyl high intensity reflective yellow w black %23’s on both sides. I also bought the same mailbox in black and white, not sure which I wanted to use, or if I needed to change the post. I thought black, like the smaller old metal one I removed (due to it’s size, the side flag, %26 slightly raised areas for small %23’s), %26 to re-use the strong straight simple round black post (centered underneath, not w the arm) %26 bc my numbers are black on yellow. Fortunately, the clean bright white mailbox looks great with my black post %26 %23’s… bc the flat raised side panels is 1/4” higher than the identical dull, plastic black one… that looks like a dirty shop vac. My %23’s including the yellow background are 5-5/8”.

So I thought I would go with this all plastic mailbox, and it is a very good one, and seems to be sturdy mailbox after the mail person broke the door on my previous rather expensive mailbox. I thought I had solved that problem but oh no the mail person again is terrible on mailbox doors evidently because one of the plastic rivets on this mailbox had been broken off and laying in the road. Decent mailbox bad mail delivery person. :(
