We have pets and love these jute rugs for their durability and looks. They do shed a bit, but not enough to bother us. Love the price and handmade quality about them.

Love these natural fiber rugs

This rug is a winner! I love the texture is gives to the room. I have it as a runner in my kitchen and it's wonderful. It does shed, as natural fiber will do, but not enough for me to care.

Perfect look

Absolutely love this rug. It helps finish the look I am going for in my room. It actually impressed my husband too. He loved how flat it looks around the edges. How even being a new rug it does not curl up.

Great rug. Pile height actually 0.5in

I love the look and quality of this rug! I ended up returning it but only because the pile height is incorrect on the website and my door wouldn't clear it. It's listed as .25 but is actually .5in.

Looks pretty but

I've purchased many rugs like this before and this one is no exception. They do shed/dust initially and they are not the best choice for high traffic areas with kids and pets. In non-high traffic areas I think it would hold up well. But again with traffic and vacuuming often it doesn't hold up great.

Great Rug

This is my 4th purchase on the Safavieh handmade natural rug. The rug is very durable and looks great in any room. I have one in the den, hallway and now living room. This rug looks high end for less the money. I highly recommend!

I was very pleased with the color of this rug. It does not have a yellow/orange tint like most jute rugs have. Instead, it was a creamy tan which is beautiful. It is very soft to the touch, as well.

Smooth and Durable

This jute rug is smooth and comfortable to walk on. The minor flaws of threads, bumps and color variation add to the shabby chic look. I am very happy with my purchase. I ordered the 6' X 6' square and only 2 of the sides are bound with trim, the other 2 sides are rolled and part of the weave. I like that it is reversible, which gives the rug more durabilty.

As expected and pictured

It's just a pictured (all of overstock's item are). It lays flat, and not too thick, that you'll trip over. I love it. The only con is that it is that it does seem to come unfrayed in areas. I have this rug in my front entry hallway. I would not suggest a high traffic area for this rug.

This is a great quality jute rug. As with almost all jute rugs, it will have an odor for a week or so. It is a heavy, beautiful rug and a lovely addition to my home. The color is true to the advertised photo. Would absolutely recommend. It is a bit more golden than my photos.

Casual, comfy and attractive!I ordered (and returned) several jute rugs, and finally found this Safavieh. The thickness (not too thick or thin!) and light weight are both great. The other jute rugs were heavy and bulky where as this rug is smoother with tan, warm tones (not grayish) and pretty.

I love this jute rug so much, this is my second time purchasing it. The woven pattern is lovely and the quality is excellent. I ordered a 2nd one because, since I use it for my outdoor living space, it got a bit weathered as expected. However it held up nicely for a year with the rains. I would definitely purchase this rug again.

The rug I received was in horrible condition, though brand new. Both sides had a ton of frayed jute rope ends sticking out all over the rug, so there wasn't really a "good" side or a "bad" side. I've had it for a while but I'm going to see if there's any recourse. It's worn very well, but again, arrived looking like it was old and worn. People think I have the wrong side facing up, but it's actually better than the reverse.

Really like the color and style of this rug. Some of the weave has come undone and sticks up but otherwise has held up well. Originally had on a textured tile floor and it seemed fine without a rug pad. However, the rug definitely needs a rug pad on a hardwood floor or high traffic area with a smooth tile floor.

I absolutely love this jute rug! I initially bought a much longer version of this rug and I fell in love with it so much that I just had to buy this one. This rug is very well made, it's heavy and yes it does shed some fibers but it doesn't bother me. This truly completes the whole look I was going for!

I love this rug! It is much softer than the usual jute rug. I have a smaller oriental rug on top of it, that wasn't quite large enough for my living room, and this let's me use that rug, too. I have received many compliments on it, particularly because of its somewhat deeper color and its softness.

Very pleased. For a jute rug, its rather soft, nice when barefoot, and very little shedding. The weave has a more finished refined look. It is rather thick, more than .5in- be aware if you are planning for doors to open over it. It has a strong smell- like tea tree oil i think - that fades pretty wuickly, gone in a couple weeks.

Great look, comfy underfoot

Great color, with tans and grays. very soft underfoot. Using wtih mohawk home premium dual surface rug pad. Have an 8x10 of this also. My dog's LONG nails did get caught and created quite an irrepairable pull, but not to be avoided... Great value for the money. I will order again to replace the pulled one if it gets worse. For now, only I will notice. Great catcher for debris right inside my back slider...
