Nice and thick. Some shedding, which I assume will decrease over the next few months. It is more of a green grey than it appears on my computer screen (looks more like a warm grey on my computer). Grays can be tricky to purchase online. It seems like it will be durable and I like that wool is easy to clean.

Really disappointing, I expected more from the rug manufacturer as I work in the Interior Design industry and have purchased from them in the past. Since the rug is constructed of wool, I expected shedding but it's out of controll. Also because its wool and it's nature to repell stains and easy clean up I didn't purchase a protection plan, which I regret. The carpet is embarrassing and looks like I've had it for years, its been 2 month since its been down. The threads in the starburst are unraveled before the carpet even relaxed. Which is now causing me to cut the threads by hand so it doesn't look so terrible. The design of the carpet is appealing but won't appear that way after 1 day. Dont buy this, to save yourself from the disappointment, its a waste of money!

It's a nice thick rug

It's a nice thick wool rug. The reason I am not giving it five stars is the color is off from the photos. The overall color is more of a bluish/green shade of gray. It actually coordinates well with the fabric tapes on my blinds, so I will keep it. Quality gets 5 stars! The bursts of white have a bit of sparkle to them.

Great area rug. Others had mentioned shedding of long fibers. Mine has not. I just vacuum using regular floor head, not power head. Used as entry rug so gets a lot of use. Has held up beautifully.

This rug is a wonderful plush texture, but sheds like no other. When we first received it, I filled about 6 vacuum cleaner canisters full of fluff from this rug. We have had it for over a year and unfortunately it is still shedding despite weekly vacuuming. However the color and design are very cute and look great in our bedroom. The white pattern is slightly raised and has a bit of silver sparkle which is cute. The background is a bit more gray / green than expected but still beautiful. Overall would recommend the rug for a low traffic area to avoid getting fluff tumbleweeds in your hallways

Definitely recommend. High quality and unique.

We bought the runner of this area rug and have been very pleased. It is nice and thick and the detail on the knit is excellent. The star bursts really pop and provide great contrast and the way they stand out is really unique. We have received many compliments. Feels great under foot. Would definitely recommend. Only complaint is a few of the knits on the starbursts have come "undone" as you can see in one of the pictures.

Color is pale, dusty grey; thick, plush feel

Color is very pale dusty grey, with a pale bluish/mint sheen. Thick and plush. The ivory viscose starburst adds interesting texture. Love this.

Exquisite look and feel quality unsurpassed!!!!!!!

Of all the Safavieh rugs I own this is my favorite one. It is exquisite in every detail. The quality, thick softness, color and size are perfect. It is exactly as pictured and described. I can't recommend this more you will love it.

It's charcoal gray, not light gray

the quality is good, no complaints there. All the product pictures clearly show a light gray and ivory rug. In reality, it is charcoal gray and white. HUGE difference. Making it work but disappointed.

Not the exact color

Pros: I bought this rug for my new house. I love the look of the rug. It looks beautiful on the floor. Cons: I ordered it in grey and white. When I opened the package, I was surprised to find that the rug looked more green than grey. It is a pretty green-grey color. I had a hard time finding towels in that color. But I finally did and I love the look of the new bathroom.

In different light it's a different color

It's very pretty, that is not the problem. The problem is that the listing calls it grey but it is very definitely in the mint green family, which is not the color I wanted or ordered. Now it doesn't match my decor at all and I'm out $***. No bueno. I am attaching two photos. How it looks in one light and how it looks in another light. I wish it always looked like the first pic where it actually looks grey, but in the light of my house, definitely much closer to mint green. And yes, they are the same rug believe it or not.

Horrible don't waste your money sending it back!

What a disappointment! Other reviewers said it had a green cast to it.......it does. It looked dirty, that color of greenish gray. The raised starburst were nice but that was it. I didn't even unroll it. I opened it enough just to see the color and saw how awful it was and put it back in the packaging. It was a heavy rug and the quality was as far as workmanship seemed good, but don't waste your time and money. The return charge was *** ! Maybe in another color it might be ok but not in the gray (green) and silver.

Lovely design and texture

It's a lovely texture and design. In artificial light, the color is a rather greenish grey; in natural light, the hue is a true light grey. I bought a small sized one and placed it next to the bed. The feel on my feet first thing in the morning is just right.

Excellent Home Addition

This is a gorgeous rug. The neutral colors will go with anything. It's thick and plush and the starbursts add just enough contrast to make it interesting but not too fussy. I have been thrilled repeatedly with this brand of rug. We now have several.

Beautiful

I didn't notice the runner had a 3D look when purchased, I was sold on the color and length and it is beautiful. I have received so many compliments about the unique look. I recommend it use to be in an area with light traffic. I love the rug but not sure how I'm going to clean it. I'm going to find a way, it is of very good quality. I plan to move it to less traveled location.

Another purchase from Overstock after shopping for area rugs online and in stores finally I decided to go with this one. I purchased same rug in different color two years back and very happy with it. Beautiful color combo, excellent quality and great service. Very happy with it and trying to buy small one for my den but color match is not comparable

Definitely GREEN but great value for NZ wool rug

I was forewarned by the reviews that this rug was green, not grey, but was still taken aback by just how green it looks in person. In addition, the height and open-loop style of the "burst" pattern is not accurately depicted online. That said, the wool is high-quality, soft, resilient, and dense underfoot, as I had hoped.

The pieces of white yarn are coming out by the handful. Every time I vacuum it pulls more of them out. They are not sewn in place - just looped through once. Pretty soon it eill be just a plain color carpet. I am so disappointed as my other Safavieh rugs have been great. I would not recommend this rug.

This is the most beautiful, high-quality rug I've ever purchased. It's extremely thick and comfortable to stand on, and the hand-sewn designs are very elegant. I am not able to use it by my back door as anticipated, though, because of the delicate quality and necessity to hand wash it, so we will use it in the guest bedroom instead. For decour and comfort/sturdiness, this rug is top notch. But it is not a good choice if you are planning to use it in a high traffic area. Be sure to carefully follow the directions on how to care for a wool rug, which are included on the item's website - using the beater bar on a vacuum will ruin the decorative embroidery.

So pleased with this purchase. The elegant look adds a little something extra to my room that brings it up a notch. This rug still looks great after 5 years and the thick wool pile is so comforting to walk on that I did not need to use a rug pad on my hard wood floor. The design is so now, and I also feel it will remain stylish for the future. I love it.
