Will never buy from them again

After putting our almost $500 rug down, we spotted a line. At first we thought it was a crease from being folded for delivery. When it didn't fade we realized it was a black line from when it was made. We also started to notice some of the yarn sticking up from the field. Not the usual new rug shedding but actual pulls. We called customer service and they really seemed indifferent to the fact that we had an issue and just wanted to blame the manufacturer. Customer service rep Ruth and her manager Ann were both rude and didn't seem to care that their company sold a defective product. They gave us the option to return the rug and emailed a return label but told us we'd be responsible for obtaining the wrapping and taking it to FedEx. Not an easy task as it's quite heavy and cumbersome. We were informed that if there was any damage during shipping we would not get reimbursed. We will never use AreaRugs.com again. Not because of the defect in the rug but because of how the company handled the issue.

It’s a beautifully made rug! However, the photos don’t reveal that it really is a sage pattern on a sage background. In your photos, the embossed image creates an illusion that the sage pattern sits in a bone-colored background.
