Beautiful rug! Just enough contrast of colors to make a nice pattern under furniture. This is our second purchase of this rug, first one for our son several years ago. His still looks like new which was one reason we purchased for us too. I recommend!

Not a soft rug. It is great looking and very durable. The style can go traditional or modern - I put it in a mountain modern home, in the primary bedroom. Even though it is not soft, this house is a rental and it is really durable.

Bad Chemical Smell!

Ok I wanted to really give this more stars but when we took it out of the plastic we were almost bowled over from the chemical smell. Made me feel instantly sick. Why is it necessary to use chemicals in a 100% wool rug?? We are airing it outside on the porch but wow did it reek! It is for our some who is off to college and the rug is perfect otherwise. Stop using chemicals in your products! Horrible!!

Perfect for a home study/office!

I love the design pattern of this rug! It works great in my home study and would also work well in a high-traffic area. Appears overall medium gray. The lighter areas are tan not white, which I prefer in order to hide dirt so I don't need to vacuum very often. It's sturdy, think and heavy enough that it doesn't slip (for my size: 6'x6'). It's not cushy and soft but that's best for my home office chair on wheels. I have to avoid loop carpets since my cats would easily destroy them. This one is tightly woven so it fits the bill. I highly recommend it.

I love this rug! The texture and color is beautiful and has a nice feel. I was hoping it wouldn't look cheap and I was not disappointed. I am using it under a table and I think it will be perfect, as it won't show dirt and the pile isn't too high. I agree with previous reviews that this would not be my first choice for a cozy area like a living room. But for the price it is beyond worth it

Great quality rug

Beautiful rug! Safavieh is always a great rug. Great color. Great quality, sturdy. No corner rolling, and therefore, no tripping! We put this in our living room, so it's in a high traffic area and is holding up beautifully.

This rug is absolutely gorgeous! I loved everything about it. Unfortunately I ordered the wrong size and by the time I got my refund store credit the size I needed was sold out. Took away one star, not for the rug, but for how long it took to receive my refund after I sent this back.

Thin, stiff, not soft at all

I buy wool area rugs as they are thick and durable. I knew this was thinner than usual but I have never seen a wool rug that is barely a quarter inch in height. This is also very hard and stiff, not soft at all. Really not a rug for a living area. It is more the type of rug you would use for an entry to wipe your feet. Background is tan rather than off white or light gray. It seems it would be durable and not show dirt, but use would be for commercial or high traffic area, not a living area.

Great rug but sizing a bit off!

This is a beautiful rug and well made. My only disappointment is that the rug is not 9x12. It is actually 8.8 x12. I could have really used the extra 4 inches! I understand there is disclaimer that these rug sizes may not be exact but really! Describing the size as 8.6 x12 would be more accurate. Again, the rug is lovely and we look forward to having it in our new home.
