Both colors are awesome. Quality!

This is a very nice quality rug. It’s huge and heavy. Actually have this rug in both color schemes- that’s how much I love it. The lighter one is more mellow with light tones that blend well. The darker color really pops. I use these on bedrooms but they would fit anywhere. They are durable too- I have had one for nearly 9 years and it’s still in great shape. They look very ‘high end’. Worth it!

This is a very Elegant Design !! The colors are true as shown and I'm ALWAYS PLEASED with Safavieh !! I have Corgi dogs that love to Rip up and down my hallways. Tough lil dogs on a runner that that can take it and still look beautiful !!! I bought two 14' long Runners and two of the 10' Runners and a 4x6 accent Rug !! I have found it easier to use a Double Sided Carpet tape on the runners. As for a Wool Rug shedding.. it took maybe 3 Times to rid that situation. I'm Happy and Corgis are Happy and you will be happy too. Quality Purchase that I would recommend highly.

This rug is perfect! Colors are different from photos but not in a bad way. They are delightfully subtle and the patterns unique without pulling away from the flooring. In my photo the light rust color seems pink but it's not. Instead the colors and patterns richly compliment each other. The different textures make for a sensory delight when walking on the rug without shoes. Packaged extremely well. No smells, shedding or other bad behavior from this rug. I'm probably going to order another.

We recently replaced the carpeting with hard wood floors in our home. To protect the new floors, we decided to buy area rugs and runners. Being a regular shopper of Overstock, the first thing I did was to check out what Overstock had to offer. I was delighted to see this rug because of the price, style (contemporary and quite elegant), and the materials. Overstock had many sizes for this style and that worked very well for us. Delivery was very prompt. My husband was very impressed by the design and quality. Indeed, the colors were more muted than they appeared online. However, we liked them even better. The design was interesting (some sculpted patterns with varying colors). In fact, we like the style so much that we ended up buying 2 large ones (9'X6' and 8'x10') and 2 long runners (2'6"x14'). The price was fantastic for the quality - even less than what one pays for synthetic materials in the warehouse stores. So glad that I shopped at Overstock!

Some snaphoos to start but great outcome

Edit 2018 Just adding we’ve had the rug in our front hall for four years and it has held up beautifully. Ok we ordered this runner for our hallway after a long search for just the right thing. I love the colors (yes not "bright" but not watered out either very nice). The casual transitional feel is just what suits our home and ties the whole house together. The pile height is nice, soft, but not too "squishy" for our main front entry hall. Have only had it a few days, but the shedding does not appear to be a major concern (all hand tufted wool rugs shed some). Here are the complications, we got our first rug of this type and the edges were not straight and the appeared to be no trimming around the rug (meaning the backing appeared to be glued right up to the edge, I could even see the backing in places when standing on the rug and looking down). Here is the good part, Overstock's phone customer service was spectacular, they were very helpful, and when I decided to return the original rug they sent along a new rug immediately (did not need to wait for my return first). We got the new rug promptly, and it is much better quality even slightly thicker pile and straighter edges. There is a mild storage/basement smell to the rug but I only notice it if I am on the floor next to the rug. I believe it will air out over time and the scent will go away. The rug as a whole gets a B to B+ from me and Overstock gets an A++.

It is a thick, luxurious feeling carpet underfoot. The photo is darker than the real item. The deep orange red in the photo is more pink in color. I had purchased the runner first, which is closer to the photo in appearance, and the pattern is proportionately more pleasing. I did not realize the pattern elements are zoomed for the larger 8x8 size. I would not purchase again for this reason, but the quality is very good.

WAY DIFFERENT COLORS IN PERSON

RUG IS THICK AND PLUSH. SOME REVIEWS WERE THAT THE COLOR WAS EXACTLY LIKE THE PICTURES.. SO I WAS EXCITED AND EXPECTED THOSE COLORS. .. IT'S VERY SALMON.. HARDLY ANY RED IN THE COLOR.. THE LILAC IS PRETTY SATURATED.. I HAVE THE RUG UNDER MY DINING TABLE AND ALSO THE LONG RUNNER IN THE KITCHEN… I AM HOPING THESE COLORS GROW ON ME.. MY RUG CAME IN WITH THE SEEMS IN THE MIDDLE ALL SPLIT AND UNRAVELED. I RECEIVED AWESOME CUSTOMER SUPPORT AND THEY ARE SHIPPING THE REPLACEMENT.. I DOUBT I WILL BE ABLE TO FIND ANYTHING AS UNIQUE AS THIS RUG.. IT'S REALLY PRETTY IF YOU CAN USE LILAC AND SALMON.. WAS SO HOPING FOR RED. P.S. THERE IS ONE SMALL RED STRIP IN THE RUG.. THERE IS ALSO GREEN AND BLACK AND THE YELLOW IS VERY SOFT YELLOW.. I THINK IT'S ONE OF THOSE PIECES THAT WILL HAVE TO GROW ON YOU.. PRETTY NICE UNDER YOU'RE FEET BUT I SEE HOW MUCH SHEDDING IT IS DOING.. WILL TAKE A LOT OF VACUUMING TO GET IT SQUARED AWAY.. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS RUG.. IT'S DIFFERENT..

colors matter

I rated this rug 2 stars because the colors are TOTALLY off from what is shown on the website. I did read 1 or 2 reviews on this rug saying that the colors were subdued but still beautiful. I ordered the rug thinking that while the golden and blue hues would be "subdued" the basic colors of blue stripe, yellow/gold stripe with rust/red accents were what I needed in the dining area to repeat those same colors already in the adjacent family area. Well, there is absolutely NO blue in the rug - the closest it comes is a Payne's grey of different values. Neither is there any yellow/gold - not in a stripe, not even in an overall warm color cast of the whole rug. The overall hue of this rug is a cool grey, the lighter stripes have a frosted look, the darker with a "purple-ish" one. There are rust/reddish accents that tend toward a rose hue.

Stinks, but gets better

I purchased the 2X3 and it is half red pattern and 1/2 yellow pattern, plus the zig zags on the ends. There is none of the dark pattern on this small rug. This was a disappointment. Also, the patterns are exactly 1/2 and 1/2. I wanted something more asymmetrical (in the photo the dark patterned area is smaller than the other 2 areas).

So I added this rug to my cart and watched it sell out twice over four months before I took the plunge and purchased it. I have a house built in the 1930s that was furnished with very traditional leather furnther from my previous family room in the suburbs. The room already has a lot of character with wood floors, plaster walls and the original restored fireplace and I wanted to create a living room that is eclectic, non-traditional, colorful, warm and inviting.When I unrolled the rug, I knew this was it!
