It hurts when I walk on it

Interesting. It looks nice when rolled out. It came relatively quickly rolled up in plastic. It’s a nice cable stitching rug. I’m concerned that it will show wear and will shed. It also hurts when I walk on it, almost prickly. I’m not sure if I’ll keep it or return it. It looks nice and is relatively soft but with structure.

2nd Time is the Charm!

I order this rug and another during the recent Labor Day sale. Both came in very very thin, ripped plastic bags and had several dirty spots where the holes were from shipping. I was so upset and worried because this was my very first experience with RugsUSA. I called customer service right away, sent in pictures along with a claims email i was sent and with just a few questions for verification, was sent two brand new rugs, at no extra cost or inconvenience to us! They arrived in three days. The rug itself is absolutely gorgeous and feels and looks very high end. Like a thick cozy sweater. We don’t move into our new house for a few more weeks so unfortunately i can’t attest to its wear, but so far feel that it is exactly what I was hoping for and was thrilled with the responsive customer service! Less

Weirdly Painful

So let me just say first that the rug is beautiful, exactly what we wanted. However, the shipping was atrocious, in that the rug came half out of its bag and ended up black with dirt on the back as a result. We spent a large amount of time cleaning it since we didn't the hassle of sending a whole 10x14 rug back. But that's not the worst of it. This rug is oddly painful to walk on. It has tiny sticks in it that stick out and dig into your feet. They are everywhere and impossible to see. We've tried vacuuming it over and over and it is getting better but as a result of all the vacuuming (to allow us to walk on it without pain), it is starting to fall apart- the rings on the carpet are starting to come up, as some of the reviews noted. In the end, if you're planning on always walking on this rug with shoes on, then its likely fine. But if you're putting it in your living room, I would pass. Also RugsUSA, you'd think you'd have figured out how to ship a rug without the bag coming open by now. So ridiculous. We won't be buying a rug from this site again. Less

Very Stylish but Poorly Made

I purchased the 9x12 size for my living room and have had it for about three months. I like the color - a true off white with no yellow undertones. I also really like the design. It adds interest without being too flashy or hard to decorate around. I am very disappointed in the quality. Our living room gets almost no foot traffic yet the rug is already showing significant wear and tear. Two of the braided pieces have already come undone. The rug also already looks scruffy, as the large pieces of wool that create the pattern are starting to fray. The rug also badly sheds, which shows on our dark brown floors. The individual rows are also quite uneven, with some braids looking thin and some looking quite thick. I am going to try to make this last for a year but I am not sure it will make it that long since the braids have already started to fall apart. It feels like a big waste of money... Less

Looks good from far away

I waited SO long for this rug to come back in stock in the size that I needed for the room and then so patiently for it to ship and arrive. I was so excited for this rug so when it arrived and we rolled it out, it was pretty anticlimactic. The braids aren't really braids, they're just glued down into a braid like formation and some of them have started to come up already. The "braid" is also very loose so you can see the bottom of the rug and things fall into those nooks and crannies and get stuck there. I can only imagine how gross it's going to get long term. Last, but not least, this rug SHEDS worse than any cat or dog out there. We don't even own a cat or dog, but our whole house and our clothing looks like we do. We've vacuumed the rug twice and filled two whole cannisters with the fuzz from the rug that continues to she'd 2 weeks into owning this rugHonestly, it looks good in the room, but the other negatives far out weigh its looks, so I could only give it 3 stars. Less

Nice, but....

.....I am pleased with the look of the rug because it's braided and that's what I wanted. It's not as soft as some of the other reviewers have stated. It's not itchy by any means, but I certainly don't think it is cloud soft. The reason for 3 stars is that the rug came with a brown stain on each end of the rug and the stain is from the top of the rug to the bottom of it. Such a disappointment! The Company arranged for FedEx to come and pick up the rug but I’m still not sure who will be paying for the return shipping because no one could give me a straight yes or no answer. I need to send pictures of the rug to them and then they will file a claim with the appropriate parties (well, will a decision be made prior to the 14 day return policy?). If they are going to force me pay for the return shipping I’ll just keep the rug and try to get the stain out of it on my own, but they should certainly compensate me for that. I’m not going to return the rug until I know they will pay for the return shipping. I wish Rugs USA would realize how important it is to keep a customer and not give them such a hassle when they have a complaint about their product. It’s frustrating having to fight for your hard earned money back when you are not the one at fault. If you deliver a faulty product, you should believe your customer and take your product back without making your customer jump through leaps and bounds to prove their point. Lesson learned: Order from businesses who have physical stores in my state, this way I can take the product back to the store and not have to fight for return shipping fees….. Less

Bug infested rug!!!!

I ordered this expensive rug thinking I would receive an amazing quality, beautiful rug....WRONG!! So wrong. My rug was delivered damp to the touch, smelling of mildew, and INFESTED with little roach like bugs. This is an ivory/cream colored braided rug and as soon as I rolled it out I noticed big black dirt spots all over. These black spots were like a charcoal like or dirt type mineral and inside were these little bugs!! Hundreds!! Completely disgusting and unsanitary and am concerned even having brought this bug infested rug into my house! I have a two year old and am pregnant and am concerned this god knows what filth has come into our home. I’m shocked this almost $900 rug was delivered in the inexcusable condition it was. I have already called Rugs USA and they are slow to make this right and fix this issue. Less
