Beautiful Rug, Terrible Rug

Although the actual rug appears much different online than in person, it is a beautiful rug. However, this rug sheds like crazy! There is so much shedding and dusty balls of wool around the living area that it's all I can do to keep the area clean. Sadly, I cannot recommend the rug for that reason. I have a small round area rug and so far, it isn't shedding like the larger area rug. Considering returning but what a hassle for a 9x12 area rug and I'm a petite person!

This is a very nice classic rug. It sheds like crazy at first but seems to get a little better with time and regular vacuuming. We have handed-down chairs that we are trying to make work in our home and this rug tied them in perfectly.

Very disappointed with color

I ordered the ivory/ivory rug. The rug itself and design is nice, but.....it is not at all ivory. The 'ivory' is more like a rusty yellow. So disappointed, yet again, with this rug/purchase. I guess I have learned my lesson not to buy rugs online. The colors do not match the pictures that are online.

Area Rug

Beautiful rug! Goes well with my colors in my living room. I've bought rugs from this company before. Worth the money. Well made.

Very pretty but not delivered rolled up.

We were really looking forward to receiving this rug. It arrived folded over and used. Customer service was very helpful. I did notice that the brown/blue is a muted palette and not as vibrant as site pics show. Still a very pretty rug and hoping to exchange for a new rug. ***EDIT***I am editing my original review and adding stars because I was sent a replacement rug. The good: it is a beautiful rug, thick and lush under feet. The pattern and colors are neutral and muted. The bad: This replacement was still sent to me folded up rather than rolled (hence the one start taken off) , but it was brand new and not used like the one I had originally been sent. NOTE TO BUYERS: This rug looks like two different rugs depending on which way you lay it down. When we first put it down, I was disappointed because it looked nothing like the site pics. But luckily, Safavieh included a "don't panic" insert that explains that the rug does look different depending on how it is put down. We rotated the rug 180 degrees and it looked just like the site pics. Additionally, yes this rug sheds, but that's because it is wool. I've owned several wool rugs and this stops after some time and a lot of vacuuming. Less

Love this Rug!

These Safavieh "ivory" rugs really helped to warm up the hallway. The colors are more on the tan and maroon side, not the pumpkin and ivory you see in the main photos. Still it work very well with our 200 year old pumpkin floors! The pile is thick, tightly woven, and the rugs are well made. By the end of the day the all the rugs were laying flat to the floor. The delivery was fast. The rugs were packaged well, and protected from damage during shipping. I couldn't be happier with this purchases.

I love my new rug! I'm very impressed with the lovely color combinations and intricate design--so beautiful! This is one of several Safavieh rugs I've purchased from Overstock, and I've been very happy with each one. They add beauty to my home!

It's just beautiful! Solid quality!

First one ordered really shed a lot of fibers, greater than the “expected” amount. I called Wayfair Customer Service about it and they sent me a brand new rug! The second one is much better and had very little shedding. Also, this is a beautiful rug!!

Beautiful & Elegant Safavieh Rugs

I love these Safavieh rugs. I purchased three for around my bed (two 3x5, and a 5x8) Stepping out on these rugs feels so luxurious. They look great with my hardwood floors. Excellent quality, nice and thick wool rugs. The colors are as described on line, and enhance the colors in my bedroom. The price is reasonable compared to what these rugs would cost in a carpet retailer. I have these carpets in every room in my house in different colors. They look rich and elegant! Will definitely buy again when I need to replace a carpet.

Beautiful runner

I bought the 12’ runner for my hallway. I love the colors. It’s more beautiful in person; thick, high-quality tufted rug.

Arrived earlier than anticipated even in the traditionally busy Christmas period. The carpet is very soft, colors are as presented on the website, maybe a touch subdued, and it is very warm, pleasant and comfortable to walk upon it. It is not however, a tight hand knotted carpet so the details are a bit fuzzy. Not a luxurious item but the price is right

It's a great rug. But the colors (as noted in every review for this brand) are not as shown. My house has ample natural light. The ivory is more a light tan. The brown border pattern is a rich chocolate brown. Other colors: dark teal, dark olive, light mauve, dark rose, beige. It is muted and warm in tone. The pile is very tight and plush. No smell. Unrolled fine. But these are not my colors, even later comparing customer photos. If you like these colors it's a great rug.
