The Safavieh Handmade Bellagio Garcia Oriental rug is even more beautiful in person. It is the perfect piece to bring all of my daughter's furnishings together in her new apartment. It came well wrapped and the corners rolled out fairly quickly. Be aware it is very heavy, and it takes multiple passes with the vacuum to cut down on the wool shedding. Update: ****WARNING for pets: We have now had the rug for 3 months and it is shedding badly. Our cat had to be hospitalized due to the copious amounts of fibers that he has ingested and inhaled. My Roomba is constantly getting clogged up from the fibers as well, and despite frequent vacuuming it is not getting any better. It is beautiful, but we have had to remove it from our home.

I don’t know why anyone would give this a bad rating because it sheds. Solving the problem - • Vacuum a couple times after placed. • Sweep more often than once a month or longer. For the ones who rarely sweep and expect to keep up with that same lifestyle. It’s not high maintenance, you’re probably kind of lazy. Common sense. This rug is dense and very beautiful! It also dampens noise and stops echoing.
