Hansgrohe 26240 Raindance E 1.8 (GPM

I would of given this a 5 star but this was received in a broken box, but inspected and it appear undamaged, but did notice later after it was installed it was highly discolored. After intense cleaning and polishing it was decent enough so I kept it instead of waiting on a new one. But found the actual use of showering to be very luxurious ! Just the perfect pressure and fell in love with it!

Poor Quality failure after 4 uses

This is my Wife's shower, she does not use the rainhead, preferring the wand. We had some company over, so I went to use it (I prefer the Rain shower) and was surprised to find that the top of the unit is peeling off, the water is cascading down the sides! I thought that perhaps something was blocking the water so I took it apart - there's a large plastic piece inside that holds the "nipples", this was entirely cracked. I tried to put it back in place and get the unit to work again, but to no avail. Of course, it's now off warranty! This thing was used a max of 4 times! This is the worst quality I have ever seen in a shower! Does anyone know if the threads are standard? I'm going to try to find a replacement from another manufacturer.

Buy a different shower head

I have now had two (including one replacement from Hansgrohe) and they both squealed endlessly. There is a problem with the design that replacements can not fix.

I agree with the previous reviewer

I was also looking forward to a rain shower when my new bathroom was completed and the HG fixtures were installed. In purchasing, I was sure that I got the highest flow rate possible, 2.5, and I know I annoyed my plumber, asking him so many times to ensure more than adequate wire supply to the bathroom. But just like the previous review, it is an annoyance rather than a pleasure and I am just thankful that the handheld is a bit better. I also had to buy the shower arm that goes with the shower head, and now that I’ve convinced myself to replace the head, I can’t because the shower arm is limited to this line. I’ll be the second to suggest that you look at anything else.

Huge Disappointment

I absolutely despise my Raindance rainshower head. I was so looking forward to installing a rain shower in my new bathroom. This one is BEAUTIFUL, thus 2 stars vs. 1, but it is a poor, bordering on unpleasant showering experience. The little jets of water are like needles, you don't feel drenched, you feel sprayed with dozens of annoying water pistols. Thank goodness the handheld is much better. One day when i get over how much i spent on this, I guess i'll rip it out and try again.

Poor Quality Product

Purchased this product and within 6 months it was leaking and spraying out from the sides. Called manufacturer and they sent replacement. Hired plumber to replace it and it worked for a short time and is doing same as before. Very disappointed as we thought we were paying for a quality product. I would NOT recommend.

Do not buy

I had so many problems with this shower head, its not worth the premium price. Initially it leaked and spoke to hansgrohe support and they send some replacement washers. Recently during shower i heard very loud burst noise and the shower head lost pressure completely. It has a nice crack on it. Definitely not worth the premium price. I am going to reach out to hansgrohe to find out if they can replace this unit with some other model. This model is crap.

Worst rain shower head

I bought it about 2 years ago for about $600 , but it even didn’t work like the cheap head shower . Very low pressure and water split all around the bathroom and nipples clogged just after couple of months . My plumber even tried to fix and repair it but was not able to . And now only after a year it s not usable .

Beauty and Function

Not only does this shower head look beautiful, gives you gentle shower but it only uses 1.6 gallons of water per minute and that is important when you live in California.

Do not buy

I tried to get used to this "Rainshower" for quite a while. But unfortunately, the loud hissing and slow trickle from it makes for a very disappointing shower experience. I first approached Build.com to obtain a refund but they referred me to Hansgrohe where despite multiple attempts I also got nothing but the run around. I ended up buying a Grohe unit to replace it and that has worked well. Bottom line: do not buy

Leaks and no pressure

Leaks in the center and no pressure anymore within just 3 months after install. For the price, I paid expected better quality

Hansgrohe Rain Shower Head

Very high quality. Other stainless rain shower heads will start to rust a d discolor after a few months. This product continues to look new - even after months of daily use. Really nice rain shower flow and sensation.

Not Happy

Loved the shower head, it started leaking from the side of the swivel head a few months after install. I could get it to stop by tightening the tiny screw in the side but would start again. Gave up and bought a different brand but it seems the extension arm only works with this shower head and no other brand. It was a year I. December 2020, for the price it shou,d of lasted longer.

Not good Quality

The shower head looked nice but started leaking after a few months of use. Finally, had a plumber out to see and it was cracked. Reaching out to the manufacturer for repair/replacement.
