The lamp is fine ...

... but the purchase experience was not. It felt like a bait-and-switch; I wanted the lamp right away, and not until my purchase was complete did I receive the information that it was backordered ... and then later received another communication that delivery was pushed back an additional month. Also, the recommended bulbs do not work in this lamp, I had to return the 150 and buy a different wattage. Will not be purchasing items from Capitol again.

Space age style

I like, I like - heavy enough to feel stable on a carpeted floor. Note that it works best with incandescent or halogen bulbs (as stated in the instructions). "Dimmable" LEDs strobe a little, I tried. Good luck finding 150 watt bulbs, I settled for bright white 100s.

Perfect size, great appearance, Very clean and simple line. . Wish bulbs had arrived same time! Lol…great speed in delivery! This Lamp as described fits perfectly in the spot needed. Would definitely recommend to others.

We are really enjoying this floor lamp. We wanted a floor lamp with some type of fabric shade. The two bulbs make it nice to adjust the brightness when needed easy to assemble.

We moved into a house that doesn't have overhead lighting in, so I bought four Harper Floor Lamps. I first fell in love with them when they were listed through Pottery Barn as the "Lancer Torchiere." Same exact lamp, but less than half the price via Houzz/Adesso. They're really beautifully designed. Simple, elegant, unconventional but also classic and clean lines - and also very bright. Highly recommended!

I like the style. Very light weight so not good around places they could be bumped but a great lamp for the price and despite the materials being a bit cheap it looks quality especially when lit.

Looks great, but has a problem

Looks great in person, a simple, elegant modern floor lamp. But the metal top knob came off within a year of using it, exposing the black plastic knob underneath, which was very hard to turn. Couldn't get the top knob to go back on.

Beautiful lamp for my office.. I get tons of compliments.. love the 3-way function.. gives off plenty of light and looks very cleek.

Stylish MCM floor lamp

The perfect addition to my MCM living room! Looks delicate, but it's actually quite sturdy. Provides just the right amount of light for my large living room.

This lamp sits in corner of my living room and the uplight helps to light the room. It's good quality for the $ and I would buy it again.

Attractive, easy to put together

Good lamp - matches most decor. I am NOT handy but I was able to out it together without a problem. Would order again. The main reason I chose this model is that it takes 2 150 watt bulbs - it's very difficult to find a lamp that does.

I saw this lamp and thought it was perfect for my living room. The price was right, the lamp is sturdy and the height is perfect! It was easy to put together in five minutes top, and lights up the room just right and has a dimmer option as well.

Got it yesterday, assembled in a few minutes, looks AWESOME! It's very bright, which works great with the high ceiling in my living room. Uses two 150 watt bulbs that can be adjusted to less brightness. Minimalist design that packs a punch. Love this lamp and may order more for other rooms!

I chose this lamp because of it's height - over 6 feet - and because of the unusually shaped shade. It was easy to put together and looks beautiful. It gives a lot of light and has a dimmer. I'm glad I found a lamp that is different from the usual, run of the mill torchiere styles.
