Don't buy
I should have listened to the other reviews. This is not cast iron. The black coating comes off immediately and got on the food, even using parchment when flattening. I don't know what the coating is so I don't even feel comfortable feeding anything with pieces on it to my family.
I really love this addition to my kitchen. It is very heavy and works well. Do to health concerns I am no longer buying bread products due to the additives in them. Making my own tortillas is so much easier with this press.
Not a great product for roti making

Not really cast iron it’s coated and the coating was flaking off before I even used it. Doesn’t flatten super well. Also Restaurant is spelled wrong in the title.

I don’t feel like it flattens it enough. Also we just used it for the second time and the black is already flaking off
Happy Taco Tuesday!
This does a great job. It is heavy enough that the weight does the work. Since I have arthritis, pushing down and using force is problematic. This was delivered earlier than promised and to the correct address.

Must have
If you like making homemade tortillas, This is one of the tools you'll want and need.
Nice but not 8 inches Measures at about 7 1/4 inches. Other than that, it’s heavy duty because it’s made of cast iron. I’m not sure they sent me the right product because they are selling 7 inch presses also. Seems like I got the wrong size.

Great Press
Very well made and heavy duty. I made my first batch of cassava flour tortillas and they were the perfect thickness. I'd been looking for second hand one but this was worth the money.
Nice and sturdy tortilla press
I really like this press. It’s simple and very easy to use. I would put parchment paper inside with some doughs to keep them from sticking, but other than that, it is very nice , and it’s heavy duty.

MUST HAVE KITCHEN ACCESSARY
IS IN EXCELLENT GREAT CRAFTSMANSHIP WELL WORTH THE COST AND THEY GOT IT HERE FAST

Nice and heavy so will be easy to press out those tortillas! However I was not expecting a DIY when it came to the actual tortilla press. (Hence the loss of a star) This item comes unassembled, with no instructions, so it's a bit of a head scratcher for those of us who are mechanically challenged. 3 cast iron pieces, two bolts, two nuts... probably not too difficult to figure out but be forewarned.
Disappointed In Quality
This thing is of such poor quality it is basically worthless to me. I tried to fix the ridiculous amount of slop / wobble in the hinges and failed because the poor casting is so bad. The pressing plate is warped and teeters when laying on a flat surface. As you can see from my picture there is a gap between the plates near the hinge. The hinge point is too high. That gap is how thick the tortilla will be, and it's too thick! If enough pressure is applied you get thick on one side and thinner on the other. I really regret throwing money away on this junk!
