Very happy with this new grate. The middle leg makes it extra stealthy and metal grade is better than I expected. My old grate looked so sad sagging in the middle compared to this new one.

Only burned one fire so far, but this is a very solid piece. Sits up plenty high enough to allow air flow underneath.

Extremely sturdy and has held up well after several very hot fires. Only suggestion is to add a small piece of heavy duty screen in the middle to hold kindling material so it won't fall between the spaces of the bars while the fire is starting.

It does an ok job for a fire grate, but it is narrow and I have to push it back so logs don't roll out. That make the fire "cooler". I also can't use larger logs as they will not burn completely. I'm older and spitting logs is not wonderful. I do like that the legs in the center and the size of the grates make it more sturdy. I just wish it were a bit deeper so I can add more logs and keep my living room warm.

I have a small, 1974 fireplace and this was exactly the size I needed. It was so nice to just have it shipped to me. Holds 2 logs and maybe 3 if they are smaller logs. Looking forward to my first fire of the year.
