Not stable.

Was not impressed. It is too light weight and is not sufficiently stabilized. When using the doors it will fall forward or backward and the metal is hot at this point. It is a great idea, but has a design flaw.

Great screen!

I was worried about the people commenting negatively on the stability of this screen. I think people are putting the legs towards the fireplace instead of out front. I tried both ways and the feet coming out front make it much more stable. I have a stone hearth so I needed the stability in the front.

Not sturdy

Not very sturdy. It falls over when put in front of fireplace. Two 'L' pieces were included in packaging but I cannot figure out how to install. No directions. But the look of it is perfect. I put the fireplace tools in front of one side and a basket of blankets on the other side to hold the fireplace screen in place.

A nice product marred by design issues

One of the 2 units we ordered came with a broken door hinge making it unusable. Ensuring balance with doors open is a bit of challenge as well. Product otherwise has a clean, simple design with a good finish.

Well made 3-section aluminum fireplace

Well made 3-section aluminum fireplace screen with double doors. Only reason not reviewing as 5-Stars is the it had a tendency to fall forward because it had no stabilizing legs. I happened to have a couple of L-Shaped angle braces from my previous screen and simply added to the Panacea. Works safely and securely now!

Beautiful Fireplace Screen

Perfect

This screen was exactly what we were looking for. It has a simple, classic design, stops sparks, and while it was a little unbalanced we managed to fix that very easily. It was a very nice upgrade to our fireplace.

Looks Great - Falls Over

I use this screen on our fireplace in the living room. It works great for keeping the sparks off the rug and I have had comments on how beautiful it is. It looks like the expensive ones from pottery barn, etc. However, when I first set it up the doors did not sit quite properly (boyfriend has since manhandled them into a better position)and we still have trouble with the screen tilting, lilting and falling when you open the doors... you must find the "sweet spot" where the angle of the sides just balances the doors... OR ... we have found that placing it flat against the fireplace brick keeps it from falling, but that doesn't really complement the shape as well as having it slightly set away from the fireplace with the sides folded back. Just my two cents.. I searched and searched online and this was the BEST looking and OK performing screen for the money. WAY BETTER than some chincy, cheesy gold thing from [...]!!

Just what we needed!!

This fireplace screen is just what I was looking for. I have priced many at varies stores and online websites and have not seen anything that even comes close for twice the price. It is nice looking, functional and the convenience of the doors is just an added bonus. So if you are thinking of purchasing GO-4-IT.

I could not be happier!

After extensive online shopping around, I was hesitant to purchase this item because of the low price. With an Ace store close by for a possible return, I decided to take a chance. SOOO glad I did. For the price, this is an elegantly designed, sturdy, usable product. I have a rather difficult-to-fit fireplace and it works beautifully. Highly recommended.
