Well from the simple packaging to the easy instructions there doesn't seem to be much to installing this bracket at all....well unless you have my window opening. The skirting and inability to mount this as instructed made a quick job last a while and the directions for that part moot.

The Universal Window Air Conditioner Support Bracket - Up to 200 lbs. - Fits 5,000 to 12,000 BTU, Heavy Duty by TURBRO is sturdy enough to hold the weight of most window air conditioners. Although, if it had a little bit more of adjustability, you might not have to work quite so hard to get it configured right to match up with the shoulders of the vinyl siding. Once we got that figured out, then the rest was easy going. It is a good product, but a few minor adjustments in design would make it a great product.

I got this universal support bracket for a windows A/C unit in a bedroom that doesn't get cold enough with central A/C. The unit included its bracket, and I already had this universal, so I installed both for the best support. It took me some time to assemble and to get it in the proper position. This bracket is a good size, and I feel great that my newly installed A/C unit is very sturdy. I am confident this is strong enough to withstand severe storms. Overall I am satisfied with this product.

So originally I thought that this attached to the AC unit itself but actually the TURBRO ACS-100 Universal Window Air Conditioner Support Bracket - Up to 100 lbs - Fits 5,000 to 12,000 BTU, Heavy Duty permanently attaches to the window sill. The bracket is made out of bent steel and stainless hardware. There are rubber shims and a rubber foot. The bracket has a level built into itself for proper leveling. The box says only up to 10000 btus which is why the four stars. Looks like good quality and easy to install.

A mount like this definitely offers peace of mind regardless of what size unit you're installing. Installation is simple and in most cases you'll only need to supply is a screwdriver and maybe a drill for a pilot hole, everything else is included.

TLDR: There are two Nylon Spacers that need to be installed on the Flange Hex Bolt (see pic) ... I have a Wall A/C, that I am using as a Window A/C. I, by myself, install it late Spring and remove it late Fall. It is held in place by raising the lower sash and immobilize it with two corner braces. Without an A/C mounting bracket attached to the house, it is 'tricky' balancing it on the window stool, while closing the window and tighten the braces. Also, once installed, it is difficult to get it 'level'. I decided to get a mounting bracket, to help with both those issues; making installation and removal safer and easier. This ACS-100 is rated to 100 pounds. They also make model ACS-200 (317126263) for heavier A/C's, rated to 200 pounds. It has an additional bar on the end; which I think would be helpful for wide A/C's.

This universal air conditioner support bracket is made of quality materials and appears to be strong. The built in level is a nice addition. The reason for just three stars is because it came with installation instructions that are vague and hard to follow. There is a diagram and list of all parts that that give a good visual view of what the assembly should look like but when you look at the steps for the actual installation the diagrams are confusing. There are views of three different window sill configurations, since not all are the same.

Very strong window air conditioner bracket made with stainless steel sheetmetal. Everything comes with this including plastic anchors and mounting hardware. Unlike other cheaply made imports this air conditioner bracket kit comes with a leveling bubble so you can properly pitch the final install to ward off rain. Materials used are top notch and will never rust when exposed to the weather. Quality throughout!

Slipping cheap rubber foot

Poor instructions. Unsafe for my air-conditioner. Slipped twice when I added the unit. Nice stainless elements and level.

We bought 10 air conditioner braces for apartments who didn’t have them - to prevent violating NYC Dept of Buildings rules. They worked perfectly.

First, the stainless material and large bubble gauge are enticing--especially at this price point...

First, the stainless material and large bubble gauge are enticing--especially at this price point. The major problem is the design. The tiny foot wont stick. Also, some edges are surprisingly sharp! -See photo of foolish installer- Also, the spacers supplied smell funny and the holes are not evenly spaced. I'm returning it and getting a Frost King.
