I generally find Wayfair to be hit or miss—I’ve gotten some great products and some not so great ones. This rug is definitely on the great end of the spectrum! It’s real wool (not plastic/synthetic material), is very soft, and quite beautiful. It has shed initially, but it’s nothing that merits too much complaint. I got this on sale and am very pleased with how it ties our living room together.
I ordered 2 Armintha oriental handmade tufted wool red rugs. The smaller one was fine and looked really nice. The runner was another story. As soon by as I opened the package, I smelled a strong horrible mildewy moldy smell, so bad in fact that it gave me a headache and sinus issues, as I am allergic to mold. The color was off too, more of an orang rust color, whereas the other rug was a rich burgundy red. I immediately called Wayfair and returned the runner. I hope thé can send me a replacement that matches the other rugrug.Needless to say I am very disappointed in their quality control. Their storage facility must be damp and have mildew. They should check their rugs before shipping them out
We are so pleased with our new rug. It is very plush with a soft hand. The color is described as dark blue, but I describe it as medium blue. Several Wayfair photos don’t do justice to the colors. Customer photos are more helpful. Look at Lindsay (Hilliard OH), Rebecca (Dallas, TX), Cindy (Greer, SC) for good examples. The “red” color is a rich, tasteful rust, and what looks like black is deep navy. My grandchildren have been playing games, sitting and rolling on it, but I have seen very little shedding. Turn off the beater bar or brush and let your vacuum’s suction do its work. I definitely recommend this beautiful rug.

Love the area rug. Second Safavieh (sp) I've bought. Both rugs shed quite a bit at first, your vacuum will fill quickly with fiber which you don't see in the carpet but is there. These are loomed rugs, not hand tied, thus the price. After three or four vacuumings though the 'shedding' stops and the the rugs look regal. Glad I bought them. They look way more expensive than they are.
This rug is beautiful! Colors are brighter than the photos but still true (like they added gray to the lens)? Red accents are slightly rust colored but still beautiful and natural (not a garish red). Size is accurate. Feels very soft underfoot. Yes there is some shedding but not undo (very normal in tufted wool rugs). I only wish there was another rug with same colors but different pattern so they could “complement” in adjoining rooms.
Lovely rugs!
We bought two 2'3" and one 3'x5" of these beautiful Safavieh rugs. They came in the mail two days after we ordered them, and we couldn't be happier with them. They are thick and luxurious to walk on, and the colors are true to the photos. They look lovely in our kitchen with hardwood floors. We highly recommend them!

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I choose the right size rug for my living room?
Aim for a rug that fits all the main furniture pieces on it or at least the front legs of sofas and chairs to anchor the space.
Can I layer rugs for added texture and interest?
Absolutely, layering rugs can add depth and dimension. Pair a larger, neutral rug with a smaller, patterned rug for the best effect.
What's the best way to clean and maintain my rug?
Vacuum regularly, spot clean spills immediately, and consider professional cleaning for deep stains or at least annually for high-traffic rugs.
How does rug size impact the balance of my living room?
A rug that extends the full length of the sofa can help balance the room. A small rug can make the sofa look disproportionately large.
What should I consider when positioning rugs in relation to doors and furniture?
Ensure the rug doesn't obstruct doorways or get caught on the doors. It should also not interfere with the operation of any cabinets or cupboards that open into the room.
Are there practical tips for maintaining rugs and prolonging their appearance?
Rotate your rugs annually to even out wear and fade, and address spills or flattening promptly to maintain their look and feel. For more substantial size or shape adjustments, consider having rugs cut and edged professionally.
What are some considerations for choosing a rug in relation to the sofa?
Select a rug large enough to cover the area beneath the entire sofa, which helps in unifying the space and balancing the room's proportions.
What is the recommended rug size for a living room with a sectional sofa?
The rug should not be shorter than the length of the sofa and should be wide enough to fit under all pieces of a sectional, or at least allow for the front legs to be on the rug.
Can I use a round rug with a rectangular table?
Generally, it's best to match the shape of the rug with the table. Therefore, avoid pairing a round rug with a rectangular table and vice versa for visual harmony.
