Love. Love. Love this rug.
This is the third Savavieh rug we've ordered through Overstock. For the most part, the other ones were great quality, but extremely thin. Based on the item description, I was hoping that the pile height of this rug was much plusher than the two previous ones that we've purchased. Our home is nearing 100 years old with "charmingly" loud hardwood floors. Therefore, we wanted to ensure the cushion was enough to eliminate the squeaky floors in our living room. Very, very pleased with this purchase! The rug is nice and heavy with silky surface. It's plush and feels nice under your feet. We chose not to do a rug pad until we determined it necessary. Because of the weight and having it anchored under a couch, we haven't deemed it essential. The photos make the rug look a bit yellow. Not the case. Because of the material, depending on where the rug fabric is laying, the rug can look dark or light at times. Most noticeable when vacuuming. The only drawback to the rug is the fringe. I find it to be a bit long and can very quickly get messy. Also, it took about a week to flatten the one fringed end of the rug that was wound the tightest on the inside during shipping. Had to press with heavy material for a few days to get it to relax. Overall, love this purchase. Will be looking to replicate the quality, material and pile in other areas of our home (with a different pattern) based on this rug.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I choose the right size rug for my living room?
Aim for a rug that fits all the main furniture pieces on it or at least the front legs of sofas and chairs to anchor the space.
Can I layer rugs for added texture and interest?
Absolutely, layering rugs can add depth and dimension. Pair a larger, neutral rug with a smaller, patterned rug for the best effect.
What's the best way to clean and maintain my rug?
Vacuum regularly, spot clean spills immediately, and consider professional cleaning for deep stains or at least annually for high-traffic rugs.
How does rug size impact the balance of my living room?
A rug that extends the full length of the sofa can help balance the room. A small rug can make the sofa look disproportionately large.
What should I consider when positioning rugs in relation to doors and furniture?
Ensure the rug doesn't obstruct doorways or get caught on the doors. It should also not interfere with the operation of any cabinets or cupboards that open into the room.
Are there practical tips for maintaining rugs and prolonging their appearance?
Rotate your rugs annually to even out wear and fade, and address spills or flattening promptly to maintain their look and feel. For more substantial size or shape adjustments, consider having rugs cut and edged professionally.
What are some considerations for choosing a rug in relation to the sofa?
Select a rug large enough to cover the area beneath the entire sofa, which helps in unifying the space and balancing the room's proportions.
What is the recommended rug size for a living room with a sectional sofa?
The rug should not be shorter than the length of the sofa and should be wide enough to fit under all pieces of a sectional, or at least allow for the front legs to be on the rug.
Can I use a round rug with a rectangular table?
Generally, it's best to match the shape of the rug with the table. Therefore, avoid pairing a round rug with a rectangular table and vice versa for visual harmony.
