Nice rug

Nice rug for carpet leading into into Master bedroom. Good for high traffic areas. Will protect my light color carpet. I have several of this brand and have been happy with thickness and colors. The red in this rug is a deep red. Not too bright. More a wine color. I do suggest a rug pad to keep it from slipping.

Another great rug

Another great rug from Safavieh! Their rugs are top quality and always look great on our room! Some times there is a bit of shedding, but if you vacuum it every day fit a week or so it's much better!

Wool runner

I ordered two of these rugs for a long hallway in the house. They looked great and matched other rugs of a similar pattern perfectly. I'm extremely pleased with this purchase.

Brought these Wool runners to go beside my bed. They fits perfectly and very soft under your feet. The only downside is you have to vacuum a few times to get rid of the excess lint that wool rugs always have. Still love them though.

Very plush, quality craftsmenship & natural wool!!

Wow. This rug is nice. My feet love it! Every time I walk on it, I feel like a cat. My feet just start kneading the rug, it feels so plush. I wanted a rug made with natural materials, not polyester or poly anything! Its a little darker than I hoped but boy is it nice. I'll probably move this one to a different room and get a more colorful one for the intended room. But until then I'll enjoy it where it is.

Dramatic and "pet approved"

The rug arrived VERY well packaged. Cardboard protected the ends/ edges and the plastic was heavy and well sealed. Upon unrolling MANY little packets to prevent moisture were "discovered". I expect shedding with this type wool rug- and sadly the "black ground "( which I wanted) shows MUCH lint and the shed of the other colors... hoping this will lessen in time. I chose a quality pad and the rug is soft and thick.The rich red/ burgundy is perfect with my planked wall color and the square size( not too common) was also a strong selling point for my small living area. My dogs LUV stretching out on, and there has been no issue with any "odor"

SHEDDING, but gorgeous

I love this rug! It looks wonderful in my great room. I ordered the 10x14ft. It arrived in just a few days, which was great. My only - let's call it an observation - is that I have never seen so many left-over fibers on a rug. I know it's a normal part of the manufacturing process and all rugs/carpets will have some shed, but this is very excessive. I had to clean my vacuum cleaner four times, and the rug still not fiber-free. The photo of the fibers show a 13 gallon trash can, with a standard screwdriver included for size comparison, so you know how deep the fibers go. Overall, I am very pleased with the quality of this rug. It's big, heavy and other than the shedding, appears very well made. I would recommend this rug, but advise people to be aware of the cleaning that is going to be involved when you get it.

SAFAVIEH rugs never disappoint!

I ordered this to coordinate with the colors on a tapestry and pillows in our family room, and it is just perfect! The colors, designs, and workmanship is spectacular. I have ordered several SAFAVIEH since 2014 and they are all just as beautiful today as when I received them (even the runner in our high-traffic garage to kitchen hallway!).

Remarkable rug; excellent company

I had not ordered from Overstock previously. I must say that I am quite pleased with the company. The exchange and crediting my credit card went smoothly. The Safavieh wool rugs are amazing: thick and cushy. I was matching an existing antique red carpet. Reds can be so hard when referring to photos online, but I found the photos to be accurate.

Ugh...wouldn't purchase again!

When the rug arrived, the color was true to the online photo and the rug was quite thick and beautiful overall. However, over time, this rug shed like crazy, with wool fibers on table tops and on hardwood floors. The thickness wore down, my vacuum needed to be replaced due to the clogging from fibers...And, I had to vacuum nearly daily and empty the canister after each time I vacuumed due to the excessive amount of lost fiber. The rug is now thinner and looking worn where there is heavier traffic patterns. You get what you pay for. Wouldn't purchase again despite having purchased 4 in varying sizes of same rug at same time (two runners, 5 x 7, 8 x 10). The continued shedding is driving me crazy!!!!

Not thick enough thinning out

I absolutely like the bright colors on this rug. The design is beautiful. However, the rug itself is very thin, moves around quite a bit. I have bought several safaveigh rugs with no padding needed. This is the only rig that is so thinned out I'm afraid it's going to fall apart or not last very long. It still has the beautiful colors and design, I'll just have to wait and see how long it will last.

Safavieh Handmade Area Rug

Having purchased several Safavieh rugs, I tend to rely on customer reviews prior to purchasing, so I hope I can be helpful, too. This wool area rug yields a rich, burgundy/deep-red tone complimented with black border and center area. The pile depth is impressive. Upon arrival, I was impressed with the care in packing this large rug. It was wrapped around a cylinder form that prevented any crease. Within a couple hours, the border edges were flattened. Given the wool component, it will require several times of vacuuming to reduce shedding, but the result is certainly worth it.

Safavieh wool rugs are great value

We bought this one as our second Safavieh wool rug, and were as pleased with it as the first. It is lovely, well made, nice under the feet, and thick. Nice colors too. We have had ours three months now, and am even more pleased. With the pandemic, our family has taken to group exercise classes in the living room and the rug provides a nice padded base for these (the underfloor of this room is concrete covered with LVT tile so is very hard, the rug is thick enough to make yoga/other floor based exercises comfortable). In fact, I am on the Overstock site today to buy a third one of these....

Vibrantly colored thick and luxurious wool rug

This rug really ties the room together and matches perfectly with my new hardwood floors. The colors are vibrant and traditional and the rug feels thick and luxurious. I vacuumed it gently a couple of times as with any new wool rug. The quality is also good and I expect the black color in the background to remain true for many years to come. Some other than wool rugs don't hold up well over the years but I imagine this one will. And my pet cat immediately went to it and rolled over on it loving it right away. Plus you cannot beat the price, as this one looks just as good as a Persian rug that cost $5000!

Thick Pile. Great Colors.

I have 6 of this rug in the black and I love them. I've come back and ordered a runner for my stairs, since our elderly doodle was having difficulty with the wood and sliding around. Some of mine are more than 5 years old and are still holding up great. We do have one that has not held up. The wool has completely pulled away on the edges and it shows white underfabric in several places. The remainder look great.

Thick, beautiful with Vibrant Colors!!

This is third Safavieh handmade wool rug I've bought from Overstock. This is my definite go-to place to buy a nice rug. I have two handmade wool rugs I bought years ago & paid an arm & a leg for each. That's why the quality & price of these rugs amazes me so. I am looking now for a small one for a hall bath. These items are just so beautiful! It's important to read reviews (for me, especially so, with this rug). The description calls the rug red/black. I knew I couldn't use it if red but all reviews called it burgundy so I went for it! It is perfect as I have a tapestry sectional with rose & burgundy. Some might call this red but I surely would not!! Just like the others I bought (for my kitchen) this rug is also thick & luxurious! To help with colors, I would add that there is a soft green & forest green, as well as some gold, plus light beige! Actually, I love shopping for rugs since I found Overstock!

Defective product.

We purchased the 5x7 oval rug for our foyer and a matching runner for the stairs. We are replacing the hardwood floors in the foyer and didn’t open and inspect the rug when it was delivered. It was stored in the original plastic packaging in an upstairs bedroom out of the way. When we did open and unroll the rug there was a hole near the edge down to the backing . As it was then greater than 90 days since purchase we did not have the option of returning it to Lowes. We contacted Safavieh directly and they refused to stand by their product. We haven’t yet inspected the runner but quite frankly doubt that we will bother. Wehave to replace the foyer rug and want them to match so that money was wasted as well. I would strongly discourage purchasing a Safavieh product as the quality is not dependable and the customer support is nonexistent.
