The burgundy color of the rug has a bit more brick color in it than dark red. However, it blends well with the other 2 rugs I have in that room which are definitely burgundy and red. The border is to me is less beige and more of a light gold color. There is gold and green with a bit of mauve in the flowers,. Very lovely colors and I am so pleased with the quality.

CHECK YOUR PURCHASE CAREFULLY!!!!! On my 12’ runner I discovered a discolored patch. But closer inspection revealed an actual HOLE IN THE RUG which someone tried to fraudulently cover up by gluing carpet fibers in its place. The carpet fibers of course are now coming loose and I have a hole in my rug and overstock will not replace it! Unfortunately it took time to reveal their fraudulent activity and now it is outside the warranty. So overstock will not stand behind their goods. If you buy any rugs from them inspect them carefully and if you see anything out of order return it immediately!

Don't Believe the Color in the Picture!

This rug looks go beautiful in the picture, we ordered it because of the gorgeous combination of colors which to me seem like gold/rust/yellow and Red in the center. However, we were immediately disappointed upon opening this rug as it looks nothing like the picture at all. It is a dull, subdued burgundy with absolutely no hint of gold/rust/yellow and the luscious red that is so appealing.

Slightly mis-represented, but a good value

Having installed new wood (oak) floors, I needed a fairly large (6X9) rug that had some red in it and a touch of gold, to match some of the room features and furniture. I liked the pattern and colors of this particular rug...but read a few reviews that said the colors weren't as bold and accurate as the photo used. The comments being "mostly" positive anyway, I took a chance.

Gorgeous, way better than expected

I have been looking for a dark red 6X9 rug for almost two years now and almost gave up hope. I was a little worried about buying this rug at first, since I could only go by the colors on the computer and the other reviews. You really are taking a leap of faith when you buy something online where you can't see the true colors or feel the actual quality.
