I bought this twice. Received it broken twice. I returned them both and is still waiting for a refund.

Great replacement RV toilet

We had to do a little replumbing work as it was deeper than our original Thetford, but we love the china bowl.

Replacement ceramic toilet.

Fit perfectly. Easy instalation. Looks exactly like original plastic toilet except more sturdy without the creaking and growning of the plastic model.

Worst RV toilet design

As a certified RV technician of over 4 years now I can assure you that you do not want this in your RV. The water valve constantly breaks and leaks. Poor design, even worse production. The foot pedal cable won't last more than a year if you are not perfectly meticulous with every flush and even then two years tops if you are an occasional camper. Last one I installed broke after 6 weeks. The vacuum break will fail and leak less often, but still consistently. I don't recommend any thetford product whatsoever. Steer clear of the thetford money pit.

If you're not a plumber then get help

I see a lot of bad reviews for this product because you people aren't plumbers. I'm an actual plumber and think it's a decent product. Lot of people bad mouthing the product because they don't know how to install it properly. One guy even tried a different brand and ran into the same problem. If you're not a plumber and don't want leaks call a plumber don't bad mouth the product because you lack the proper knowledge to make it work

Great for about 6 months

Leaked after just a few months. Replace the leaking valve, leaked a few months later. And repeat, and repeat. It's designed to fail, absolute garbage

Perfect for our RV

I love it. I hate the short plastic toilets that come in RVs. I'm an older lady. The taller ceramic toilet is perfect. Showed up in perfect shape and installed easily.

Nice Toilet, Bad Quality Control

I've now purchased 2 of these toilets. The first 3 years ago. It worked well until a month ago when the water valve went bad. I replaced the water valve with no issues. I wanted to be proactive while it was apart so I ordered a new ball valve... that's when the wheels fell off. The newer ball valve and associated linkage that makes it work with the water valve have changed, causing the linkage to drag across the back of the toilet and consequently not allow the ball valve to consistently seat. Sooo... the bowl leaks. I gave up, cut my losses, and purchased a new Aqua Magic V High Profile a few days ago and installed it without incident. To my dismay, out of the box this toilet has the same issue. I think this is a great toilet when it works. When it doesn't it's a useless $300 hunk of plastic and porcelain. The idea of returning this toilet with the prospect of the replacement having the same issue is disheartening at best.

Seems to be a good product so far.

This toilet seems pretty high priced but it seems to look very durable. But after reading some of the reviews I'm a little skeptical now. I didn't use the rubber sealing rings. I tryed them and it leaked all over. So I went to Ace Hardware and bought the wax rings for home toilets and new Bolts. That solved the problem of mounting it . It was easy to install. Water hook up was straight forward to no issues. Works great. The old toilet would not seal and sewer gases would come out and made the whole RV stink. Looked at repairing it but opted to just get a new one and be done with the problem. But all in all very happy with the choice.

Bad foot pedal construction

This is a $340 product that Camping World does not warranty or stand behind! We were still checking the water flu after having paid someone to install it and the foot pedal disconnects making it unusable to open the flush valve! Apparently buying one of the best they have is not necessarily helpful since they do not stand behind their products

Typical Campming World call in and get a price of $300 on a new toilet, get there price on shelf $309 get to the register rings up $349 no one told me until I get to the register that the $309 price is for good Sam members only. Looks like to me when I called the guy at part could have told me the price difference.

The weakest part of the chain

I purchased the second toilet for our 38 ft RV 6 months before the Pandemic. We have only taken 3 trips (4 day trips) in the past 2 years. This weekend my wife and I took a quick 2 night trip. At the end of the night the Aqua-Magic Plus by Thetford failed. I am VERY mechanically inclined and got my tools out at 10pm to fix it. What I found is the connection shaft to the ball (the half ball , flapper) that opens and closes to the black tank broke. The BIG ISSUE here is this connection of plastic is about 1/3rd the diameter of a #2 pencell. This is by far the dumbest planned failure the Tehtford engineers could plan. When the first toilet failed I purchased the rebuild kit for this same failure and it didn't last more than 3 trips.; Which is why I purchased a completely new one 2 plus years ago. This is supposed to be the top of the line. "BS" I purchased Aqua-Magic Residence this time. I sure hope it lasts.

Poor quality

Bought toilet, not even a year later it was leaking, company replaced, a year later leaking again same spot, answer from thetford, you should check your water pressure, we only cover a year. So if you are only planning to use a toilet for a year this would be a great choice, otherwise suggest spending a little more and get one that doesn't leak so often

Parts go bad quick

Ran great for a but now it leaks in two spots. I haven't tried to ask about replacement t parts yet. Will edit review after I reach out. Great toilet otherwise but you will eventually have to fix it, which is a bummer.

A slight disappointed in toilet

There is a very poor description of the toilet. It does not come with any way to muse your old spray valve on this toilet. There is no outlet nipple to attach your old hose. The description says no spray hose it does not say there is no where to hook one up without ordering a spray valve kit, Be aware of the description under the picture
