Beautiful but SHEDS!!!

I bought this area rug for my son's nursery when he was born. When it arrived I was delighted with the color! It is absolutely gorgeous. However, here we are, 2.5 years later and the rug STILL SHEDS an outrageous amount. I attempted to return it but I was told by a customer rep that I could not return it after a few months. (I thought that it would stop shedding after a couple months so I did not attempt to return it right away) I vacuum it about once a week or so and it fills up the vacuum with tiny threads every single time. I made the mistake of placing my 6 month old on this rug while I got my 2 year old dressed and his hands were COVERED in the threads! I have finally had ENOUGH and I'm purchasing a new rug for him and tossing this in the garbage. So disappointed.
