Simple, Solid, Strong

We bought two of these for our garage. Dimensions are perfect and capacity excellent. These are very well-made, sturdy shelves that are nicely finished and come fully assembled. We have no qualms about loading on heavier items like canned pet food, bottled water. These are commercial grade units and cost more than cheaper grade shelves with cardboard backs or that use thinner metal. The price difference is well worth it. Delivery was efficient and prompt. I’d give a bonus star if they’d have provided holes in the back at the top to anchor the units into the studs.

Great bookcase/Shelving Unit

This steel bookcase is wonderful! It's strong and very durable. Loaded it with client books and it's holding them up wonderfully. Our old wood one sagged from the weight of books. I will never use another wooden shelving unit again, and highly recommend using this unit from HON. We bought just one this time, however bought 7 of them last year for our other office. All but one of the shelves are adjustable too, so it works for all sizes of books, records, files, etc.

Its a very nice book shelf although the shelf holders are not secure and the shelf holder fell down when I added stuff. The way its supposed to be is that you slide it underneath and it pops into place but it is not secure so I placed the shelf over it on top. It does not pop in but because the top of the shelf has a slope that goes down sort of toward inside. So it is actually more secure the wrong way than the right way. As you can see its holding all my textbooks and extra books fine now at the top shelf so now I don't need to worry anymore about having to need them at a bottom shelf. Edit, the 3rd shelf down fell again and it had relatively light weight on it... maybe about 5- 10 pounds which is less than my top shelf and still fell after a while. If you get this do not get the adjustable shelves. I should have known better. Took away an extra star for this... Now I am missing a holder.

Love it. I bought two and they are perfect for holding media, books, trinkets. Sturdy. The two I have are in my living room and are 1/2 media, 1/3 books, and has about 30 lbs of collectibles on top. I will buy more for my bedroom when I have the need. If you are sick of crappy particle board, IKEA projects, and low-quality merchandise, I highly recommend you spend the extra money for these beauties, because they are worth every penny.

I have tons of books. Hundreds. I needed some more space and I didn't want to buy any more particle board Ikea junk such as I have been doing for years. So I splurged on this metal book case. I've seen these things in offices for years and decided I wanted one. I don't regret it. This thing is solid and will last. Metal is definitely superior to wood in this case.
