I prefer the focus pro series. But for this particular job/system had to use this model. It works ok, just don't feel it's as user-friendly. I only use honeywell brand thermostats. I have tried other brands, but they are not as easy to use as honeywell. 40+ years in the HVAC trades. As for seller good job. Stat basically new. Thanks.

I like the T6 Honeywell - Awesome for me

Very full featured. I have a gas/heat pump hybrid system. I accepted the default switch-over as 40 F. Works amazingly well. I also have the app on my iPhone. That also is amazing that I can control the unit now from anywhere, including the advance program if I want. I use the scheduler to drop to 68 F at night and 72 F at 6:30 AM. You get into advanced schedule by holding the Menu area of screen for 5 seconds. Contractors might not tell you that. If contractor did not leave you with instructions, you can download them at honeywellhome.com. I find the read-out to be intuitive and informative - - tells me inside temp, mode, following schedule and a or - temp change. This is a full-featured unit and you do need to know what the advanced settings should be for programming for your local install hardware. This is for professional install but after that, the other controls are intuitive and easy. I am 70 and had no trouble figuring it out. I see there are plenty of negative reviews for the T6 Honeywell. Like all things, you need a good HVAC contractor that communicates expectations, and you need to read the instructions to leverage the full features of this product. Or you can just skip all of the features and have it turn your unit on and off with temp, and set the heat / cool cycles on manually just like the old mechanical mercury registers. It is totally up to you on how you use it. For a lot of people, I feel its advantage is "there are a lot of features" and the negative for other user population is, "there are a lot of features". Hope this helps someone. While there are some positive reviews, I feel many of the negative reviews are unfair to the product. I am using this unit with all of its features. I have a hybrid unit and use the outside thermometer to provide feedback to the S terminals for gas and heat pump cycles.
