DO NOT SPILL ON IT - Irreparable Yellow Stain

We loved this rug, fits beautifully in our space and the texture feels very nice HOWEVER, the moment a glass of WATER spilled on it, it was damaged beyond repair. After spilling the water, I blotted it to soak up as much as possible and assumed, like with most rugs, it would dry just fine. On the contrary, a few hours later, the rug appeared to have an enormous yellow stain that only got darker with time. We have tried to clean it with acidic-based solutions, vinegar, and other recommended products, and absolutely nothing has worked. We're very cautious not to eat or drink on this rug but for such an expensive rug, I truly wish someone had warned me that it would be so delicate not even to withstand a glass of water spill! Very disappointed :(

This is my second purchase of the same rug (and same color, the white). I mainly purchased it because the price was reduced, easy to vacuum and generally easier to maintain compare to my other viscose rugs. I do like this one a lot better than the first rug. It seems that the line patterns vary a bit and this one is a lot lighter in color. The first rug had some light yellow spots which now makes me think it was a returned rug. Please keep in mind that as other reviews mentioned, if you spill water or any liquid on it, the rug will dry out with yellow spots. That’s the inherit property of viscose rugs not just this rug. Cleaning is very expensive. It’s almost the same price as buying a new one (about $*-$*) but if you take the rug to a professional cleaner and have them include scotch guard after washing it (just paid $* for my first rug) you will have a white clean rug for another 3 years. I think the rug looks nicer than what shows on the pics. It has a slight shimmer on one side.

MUST READ BEFORE PURCHASING

When I unwrapped this rug I absolutely loved it. It was just what I was thinking. I did read through all the reviews and the biggest con was the shedding. Which it does shed. Not as bad as I thought. I am very upset with how this rug handles anything. We had water spill on the rug and I went to press it dry with a towel. The next morning it had dried and left a yellow spot where the water spilt. As it’s a white rug we wanted to try and remove the spot we tried everything and it just made the spot larger and larger. I now have a fur rug overtop of the white rug to hide the yellow spot. Overall the rug doesn’t handle traffic well. We have very strict house rules about being clean and sadly still after 3 months the rug is a light brown instead of white. Since it turns yellow with any usage of water which means it’s not able to be cleaned. That is why I would HIGHLY recommend NOT purchasing this rug.

The Color is Not Like the Photo

I ordered the grey rug because in the photo it looks a bit greenish grey. Unfortunately the rug is the same old blue/grey that you find in every rug. I'm so disappointed!

Beautiful and wears well.

Love this rug. Very light in color with texture in the grayish blue stripes. Has held up well even after two foster dogs.

No wrinkles didn’t even have to flatten the ends, this rug is heavy enough to roll out from the packaging and lay flat. After two months I have only noticed a small bit of shedding. I have a 1/2 plush pad underneath which complements the quality of this rug. Padding is key to all rugs as it enhances its value. We are still debating on getting a cocktail ottoman because this rug has allowed us to actually enjoy the open space. The grandkids love to get a blanket and popcorn and now sit on the floor since it’s really cushioned.

Charcoal Safavieh rug

My favorite rugs. Great neutral color, soft, elegant ... perfect for any room. Exactly as air looks in pictures.
