Not perfect but a nice rug for the price.

Overall, I like this rug, but I had to fight to make it work. It came with several significant bulges that required repeated steam iron treatments to flatten out. And I am not convinced that it was handmade of New Zealand wool as advertised, as there are no indications as such on the label and it looks machine-made to me (admittedly not a rug expert). I very much like the thickness of the pile and the softness.

Makes our dining room look

Makes our dining room look warm and inviting. The rug just adds a rich color to the room. The thickness is perfect for the table and chairs and the pattern is perfect to match the color of the walls in our dining room.

Beautiful rug!

We absolutely love this rug! We bought this rug for the living room in our new home, which has hardwood floors throughout. This rug goes so well with the floors and our furniture! It is well-made, very comfy, and easy to care for. Spills and stains have come out easily as well. We do get some shedding, but that is expected with a wool rug. We would definitely recommend this rug!

I was looking for a heavy, soft and all wool rug that would work well with giant dogs (two 150lb dogs that lie on rugs) it works perfectly for the space and is well made.

Looks more black than navy

It is a beautiful quality rug. I agree with some of the other reviewers that the navy blue looks more black than blue. I kept the rug because otherwise it is a great quality rug for the price. I had just wished the blue was more of a navy blue.

Arrived folded, NOT rolled, and does not lay flat

This is a beautiful rug. However, it arrived folded into a rectangular shape instead of rolled up. As a result, the rug does not lay flat. We have been spraying sections with water and laying flat, heavy boards on the rug to flatten out, because we do not want to return/create waste. However, this has been a huge hassle. A reputable company like Savavieh should know that rugs need to be rolled, so not sure who decided to fold the rug for storage and shipping. Very important for this to be corrected, or consumers notified that there will be major creasing.

This rug is a quality rug, it's durable but still soft. It didn't shed like my last wool rug and the colors are exactly as pictured. I'm so happy with this purchase.

This is my favored rug of all the rugs I purchased lately. It is thick and cushy and feels great under my bare feet. The colors are sedate but the pattern comes through beautifully. Dominant color is sage with lots of cream, beige, dark gold, dark green, burgundy and some brown. It looks stunning on my tigerwood floor. I absolutely love it.
